Theaters Across America

1. Interior of the Bing Crosby Theater in

Spokane, Washington showing the stage as
well as the seats of the theater. The camera
should be back far enough to see the ceiling.
2. Interior of the Chateau Theater in Minnesota.
The picture should be old enough to show
one of the old vaudeville performances during
its hay day. The house should be completely
packed and feel as alive as it was when the
picture was taken.
3. Interior of the Lyric Theatre in Stuart, Florida.
Rather than showing the stage, the picture
should show off the vibrant red of the seats
and contrast the light reflecting off of the
walls. While very much so a new-age theater,
the structure still holds historical significance.
4. The Meyer Theatre in Green Bay, Wisconsin
has a marquis that screams new-age, but rest
assured its architecture is reminiscent of a
gothic castle from angles. And in spite of this
beautiful, yet ancient seeming architecture,
the theater is still very much so alive.
5. The Mt. Horeb Opera Block in Mt. Horeb,
Wisconsin proves to have more history in the
town of Mt. Horeb rather than theater itself.
While built in the 1800s, the massive opera
houses exterior takes up the entire block and
stands as a solid symbol of American
Architecture during the guided age. The
brown edifice on the photo seems bleak, but
rest assured, the building has made its mark
in history.
6. The Michigan Theater in Ann Arbor, Michigan,
has a very 1950s-esque marquis in front but
still maintains the standard red and gold
architecture. Even more beautiful than the
theater itself is the lobby, reminiscent of a

with each performance. A palace fit for a
king.

Good theater never goes out of style.

Just like a sunset. What a sight before a

difference, its all beautiful.

Opera house, school, this building has

stood through it all since 1895.

Light the candles and pop the

champagne cork. Celebrating theater
never looked so good.

The glory of broadway is not exclusive to New York. Shows with national touring
companies often go to beautiful theaters as rich in history as those that would be on Broadway.
The majesty of these theaters is typically exclusive to natives, but they shan't be forgotten.

began as a movie theater but now exclusively
does live theater, unlike most theaters of its day
that got converted to movie palaces. The interior
of this particular picture should be from the wing
of the stage, looking out to the seats.

Its showtime.

Waking up to this in the morning must not be

so terrible.

Walker and Gould really got the gothic

aesthetic on point.
Id be worried about getting pink eye, but the
students love it.
Intimidating, but intellectual.

It may be easy to get lost in the crowd, but

that doesnt mean you wont find yourself.

Sometimes going to school and going on

vacation feel like the same thing.

How can anyone study with a view that

breathtaking?

College Campuses across America stand as symbols of academic and architectural

excellence. Some campuses contain very specific iconic looks that have helped to go so far as
to shape the feel of the campus community.
