Youmaynotleavetheclassroomduringatest.Ifyou
mustleaveduringthetestturninyourpaperasyou
leave.Ifyouleftforamedicalreasonwecandiscuss
arrangementsformakinguptheportionofthetestyou
didnotcomplete.
Youmaynotansweracellphoneorlookatanyformof
textmessagingduringtheexam.Suchcontactisan
inappropriatecommunicationandwillbeconsidered

MissedExams
Missedexamsandexamcutshortbyreasonslistedabove
canonlybemadeupwithpermissionoftheinstructor.
Grantingamakeupisnotautomatic.Ingeneralmedical
orclosefamilyemergencieswillbegrantedamakeup.
Documentationmayberequested.Workorsocial
conflictsarenotacceptablereasons.Thispolicymay
bealittlemorelenientifIamnotifiedatleasta
weekinadvanceofthetest.Makeupexamsmaybe
differentfromtheexamsgiveninclass.

Labrules
Labmaterialmustremaininthelab.Removalofbones,
modelsorothermaterialfromthelabwillresultina
gradeofFfortheperson(s)responsible.Violationof
thisrulebyasingleindividualwillhaveadverse
effectsontheentireclassincludingbutnotlimitedto
restrictionsonadditionallabtimes,bonusquestions

andtheuseofatimeconsumingcheckin/checkout
securitypolicyformodeluse.Inadditionbookbags,
largepursesandjacketswillbebannedfromlab.Each
studentisresponsibleforreportinganyviolationof
thisrule.

Takereasonablecareofthelabmaterial.Manyofthe
modelsandspecimensareeasytobreak.Ifyoubreakor
noticebrokenlabmaterialpleaseinformtheinstructor
immediatelysothatthematerialcanberepaired.
Donotpointatmodelsorboneswithapenorpencil.
Usethepaperclipsordissectingpinsprovidedas
pointers.
Cleanupafteryourself.
Returnmodelstotheappropriateareasattheendof
class.
Repeatedviolationoftheseruleswillresultin
deductionsfromthelabexamgrade
Youmaynotattendanotherlabsectionforadditional
timeinthelab.Additionallabtimesmaybescheduled
periodicallythroughoutthesemesterwhenpossible.
Alabmissedforvalidreasonsmaybemadeupby
attendinganotherlabsessionwiththepermissionof
bothlabinstructorsinvolved.Ingeneralyoumayonly
dothisonceduringthesemester.
Labexamsmissedforacceptablereasonsmaybemadeup
duringtheweekofthelabexamwiththepermissionof
yourlabinstructorandthepermissionofthelab
instructorofthesectioninwhichyouwishtotakethe
makeupexam.Examswillvarysomewhatbetween
instructorsbuttheexamgivenwillbeusedtodetermine
yourgradewithnomodifications.Ifyoucannot
scheduleamakeupduringtheweekoftheexamyoucan
scheduleamakeupwiththelectureinstructorfora
laterdate.Thismakeupexamwillbeadifferentformat
withfewerquestions.
