Mathematics

We will continue to use numbers and
counting in all areas of our nursery and
activities. We will use pennies to count out
and cpay for items in our shop. We will
continue to recognize and name numerals
in our role play and activities throughout

Creative Development

We will use different media to create our
own art work including, pencils, crayons,
chalk, charcoal, paints and the computer.
We will create our own pictures both small
and large of Mona Lisa and of Vincent Van
Gogh paintings. We will use collage and
paint to create our large pictures.
We will make our own observational
pictures of flowers just like Van Gogh did.
Our role play areas of Art Gallery, café and
shop will support all areas of the
curriculum and we will use our imagination
based on our own experiences.
In music we will explore dynamics loud

Knowledge and Understanding of the World

This term we will find out about the Artists
Leonardo da Vinci and Vincent van Gogh.
We will find out that Leonardo was much
more than an Artist - he was a scientist
and mathematician as well as designing
and making machines.
We will use digital cameras to record our
work and the computer to create our own
pictures – something that Leonardo was
not able to do!
We will remember and talk about
significant events in their own experience
and show an interest in different
occupations and ways of life.
Physical Development
