Creative Development

This term our role play house will continue
to support or play in using our imagination
in an area that is familiar to us. It may
become Santa’s Grotto near Christmas!
We will also be able to work in our science
laboratory which will even have a little
office
In our topic we will use materials including
autumn objects to create collages,
pictures, and models independently and
with support. This will depend on how we
can help Professor Crankpot.
We will be moving in time to music e.g.
using scarves to be autumn leaves. This
term we will present a little nativity play for
parents.

Knowledge and Understanding of the World

materials. We will learn new words to
describe texture and use materials in
different ways to help Professor Crankpot.

textures and materials.
Each week he will have a different problem
for us to solve. Look at our what are we

our challenge of the week.

White board, e mails to correspond and
talk to Professor Crankpot.
Physical Development

In P.E. we will move to music in different
ways. We will retell stories e.g. Going on a

through swishy swashy grass, sticky mud
and the splishy splashy river.
We will use tools such as scissors and
cable ties when we explore materials.
We will continue to try new foods when we
cook and continue to be independent in
our self help skills such as putting on
coats, shoes and socks.

routines during our day. We will talk about
our classroom rules such as looking after
our toys and others and moving carefully

and explore different feelings and begin to
be aware of other children’s feelings. We
will be finding out about Christmas and
how we celebrate it.
