Microfinance Institute Intern, Kampala, Uganda Summer 2009 • Worked with an Accounts Relationship Officer at Ugandan branch of international microfinance firm to monitor village loan groups, calculate loan payments, appraise loan applicants, and evaluate new client businesses. • Conducted surveys on group satisfaction and compiled a comprehensive report on FINCA policies based on survey results to present to Director of Head Branch of FINCA Uganda. • Created partnership between FINCA and local university to sponsor entrepreneurship competition for students, and led team of Yale interns to find speakers and teach lessons for microfinance conference at university.
