ST Description
A.) Objective:
Drain Waste Oil Tank 500HR
B.) Required Steps
Long text for Unit 01:
Drain waste oil tank 110-T-2191 on Compressor Unit 01 skid.
Step 1: Position the modified Intermediate Bulk Container (IBC) with
the attached diaphragm pump at the waste oil tank using the forklift
Step 2: Connect the suction hose of the pump to camlock fitting at
valve VV2164, ensuring discharge hose is directed to the IBC and
connect an instrument air line to the pump
Step 3: Open valve VV2164; open the air line valve(s) to operate the
pump until the contents of the waste oil tank have been transferred,
being careful not to overfill the IBC
Step 4: Ensure all valves are shut before disconnecting all hoses,
being sure to catch any trapped liquid in catch trays
Step 5: Reposition modified IBC at the oily water separator
(110-T-8105) using the forklift
Step 6: Drain the contents of the IBC in to the first chamber of the
oily water separator
Step 7: Clean any minor spills and return the IBC to its original
position using the forklift.
Long text for Unit 02:
Drain waste oil tank 110-T-2291 on Compressor Unit 02 skid.
Step 1: Position the modified Intermediate Bulk Container (IBC) with
the attached diaphragm pump at the waste oil tank using the forklift
Step 2: Connect the suction hose of the pump to camlock fitting at
