Programme Prospects
Information Technology
In the dynamic world of Information Technology (IT), computer
technology, telecommunications and multimedia are pivotal
to the IT revolution and are closely aligned to one another.
IT professionals who can make a difference are keenly sought
after by all types of leading organizations throughout the
world. Hundreds of thousands of job openings are created
each year. Increasingly, however, few qualified candidates
are available to fill them. There are, thus, unlimited prospects
for a career in the field of Information Technology.
Management Prospects
Todays successful business leaders need the ability to adapt
business strategies in a volatile and fiercely competitive global
marketplace. CITE offers a wide range of advanced
management skills and expertise to help compete in the
present world.

Bachelor of Engineering
(Electronics and Communication)
The need for increasingly faster and more sophisticated methods of
handling information poses a major challenge to the electronics and
communication engineers. It includes new materials, devices, circuits,
systems, and networks which are needed to build the advanced
communication and information-handling systems. Previous innovations
in electronics and communication engineering have had a dramatic
impact on the way in which we work and live: the transistor, integrated
circuits, computers, radio and television, satellite transmission systems,
lasers, fiber optic transmission systems, and medical electronics have
all become parts of our life.
Bachelor in Information
Technology (BIT)
Apart from providing a rigorous foundation in the
concepts of Computer Science and Information
Technology, the Bachelor in Information Technology
(BIT) degree equips the student with the capability
of easily adapting to an ever-changing technology
through an appropriate combination of project
work and industrial training. This four-year (8
semesters) curriculum is designed to include a
balanced foundation of courses of study, assignments
and project works.
Bachelor of Business
Administration (BBA)
BBA at CITE is a practical and valuable means of
gaining a business qualification that provides an
exposure to the challenges of doing business in a
global context. The program has a wide coverage
of conceptual inputs and has emphasis on practical
applications that familiarize students with the overall
functioning of organizations and their interactions
with the total environment within which they operate.

Computer Laboratory
Equipped with the state-of-the-art machines, the Computer
Laboratory provides students with access to the latest
software and hardware with intranet and internet with
dial-up facility from remote destinations.
Bachelor in Computer
Application (BCA)
The Bachelor in Computer Application (BCA) focuses
on building the knowledge and skill base of the
students required to expolre and integrate the IT
resources into modern Business environment. This
three year (six semester) programme, has been
developed at a time when the supply of quality
management information is assuming increasing
importance for decision makers in today's
competitive business environment. The course
provides sound understanding of the design,
development and implementation of the business
information system. This technological core involves
learning, hands-on use of both hardware and
software components, and their application.
Library
The library, consists of sufficient collection of all required
textbooks, reference materials, technical journals,
newspapers and magazines, CITE maintains a digital
online library system (DOLS), which provides direct access
to many web-based reference sources. The DLOS can be
accessed through all college client machines.

Computer Suite
The computer suite provides students with access to a wide range of
softwares and hardware. All students, irrespective of their level of
study, can access and make use of this facility, either independently
or under the guidance of faculties.
The concept of building connections is central to a CITE Education:
connections to fellow students, faculty, the community, campus resources,
and students carrer. The tools and resources required to connect are
all around you. The college library boasts a massive collection of
books, and connects you via the Internet to other libraries and major
public and private databases. Advanced labs and access to technology
add new dimensions to learning. Collaboration with talented, accessible
faculties brings academic, professional, domestic, and international
experience into the classroom.
Partnership with
ENRD
CIT College is participating in the ICT
development work in rural area of Nepal. Since
2004 it is coordinating with the E-Network
Research and Development (ENRD) for promoting
ICT in rural and urban areas. Students of CIT
are participating as a volunteer in the installation
of Wireless network in rural area of Nepal.
Students of CIT have visited the Nepal wireless
Networking project for extending wireless
Network. They stay in the project for a month
and did a lot of ICT related activities. The BCA
honors students have done research and
development activities by the help of ENRD.
Internship for
Student
CITE academic programs are absolutely job
oriented. It has been our directional principle
that graduation has to lead students in to a
respectable job. In the process and as a practice
of study, we send our students to government
offices, financial institutions, banks, IT companies,
multinational companies, corporate houses,
NGOs and INGOs for internship on the job
training. This exposure would be fruitful them
and their learned skills into perfect workmanship
that the modern world values.

Being a CITian, it's my great pleasure to visit rural areas of Nepal
for my research work intitled "Wireless Networking in Rural Areas
of Myagdi District of Nepal". The way of consulting of CIT
management with other agencies is quite impressive. I was there
for a month long and gain real experience of working and studying
with rural community about Information Technology. During the
period, "Basic Computer Fundamental Training" and "Computer
Hardware for Rural Community" was very productive, people from
rural community got real pleasure of E-mail and Internet which is
provided by Nepal Wireless Networking Project.
