B.E Electrical/ Electronic/Computer/software Engineering, MS Computer Science

Experience in relevant field

Certifications):

Knowledge of OSS Applications (EMS/NMS i.e ZTE Netnumen, ZSmart, ZTE CPM, HP Service
manager, HP OM, HP Temip etc)
Application/System Administration and Customization, Scripting Perl/Shell
Proficient in Linux/Unix/Solaris & Windows Operating Systems
Basic/good knowledge of databases (Oracle, MySQL, SQL.e.tc)
Ability to work in challenging conditions and meet deadlines
Understanding of OSS/TMN Architecture/framework or industry standards.
Should be innovative in their role & functions
Understanding of ITIL/eTOM framework

Goals:

To ensure availability of OSS EMS/NMS solution and integration

To manage day to day operations, administration, housekeeping of the solution.
To resolve issues on the first level or directly to vendor to minimize service disruption.
To ensure vendor delivery as per the contractual terms and delivery.
Reporting and communication on the Tasks/project/deliverables.
To ensure Customer satisfaction by resolving complaints within agreed time

Your typical day at work:

Requirement Analysis of Customer requirements and analysis as per the tools architecture &
configuration
Provide operations Integration Services with Fault, EMS, NMS and Performance Management
Systems and support for the integrations.
Coordinate with user line functions for support on EMS/NMS/FM/TTM Application operations.
Provide support to NOC for deployment and visibility of TTS/RMS System Client Applications.
Troubleshooting and rectification of faults on the TTM/FMS/NMS/EMS Systems.
Documentation of processes & procedures; Generation of regular reports regarding the
performance of TTS/RMS Systems.
Conducting PAT for new development and implementing handover checklist to newly
commissioned workflows and service automations.
Administation, Customization & optimization of the Reporting tool for operational acitivities
and performance of the team/applications.
Documentation of the Configuration, administation & operational activities.
Evaluate the vendor performance, deliverables, information under the Contractual agreements.
Liason with Contracted supplier regarding their Support & Services availability under
contractual terms & conditions.
Build strong expertise, keep up to date to advances in OSS / NMS / Telecom Industry and plan
for deployment / migration to Next Generation OSS Systems as per need
To work independently on new technologies implementations/expansions and to work on new
technologies with minimum guidance.
Audit/Performance Analysis and Optimization of the OSS Applications.
Ensure integration maturity and stability with business or other solutions.
Provide regular updates on development and road blocks / issues to the supervisor.
