Funciones
Proveer de estabilidad
para descargar peso
(pararse, caminar o
correr).
Permitir la movilidad
del miembro inferior en el
espacio.
Transmitir cargas desde
el cuerpo al muslo y al
resto de laextremidad
inferior
La Extremidad Inferior se
desarrolla +/- a las 4
semanas del desarrollo
embrionario.
Al fin de la 6 semanas se
detectan los principales
huesos.
Al fin de la 8 semanas todos
los huesos estn presentes
como cartlago.
Al momento del nacimiento:

SISTEMA TRABECULAR
En la Cabeza Femoral existe un
sistema principal compuesto
Sistema Accesorio
Fascculo trocantreo, desde
la cortical diafisiaria interna
de la base del cuello.
Fascculo con fibras
paralelas y verticales a la
cortical del trocnter.
Los sistemas trabeculares de
traccin estn en sitios de
insercin de msculos y
ligamentos potentes , por
ejemplo el trocnter mayor.

List of Moment Arm Data (cm) for the Muscles of the Hip, Categorized by Their
Potential Action in the Sagittal, Horizontal, and Frontal Planes.
Abbreviations: Ab, abduction; Ad, adduction; E, extension; ER, external rotation; F, flexion; IR, internal rotation.
* Muscles are presented in alphabetical order. Data are based on the male cadaver specimen being oriented in the anatomic position.

representative hip extensors (gluteus
maximus and hamstrings) and
abdominal muscles (rectus
abdominis and obliquous externus
abdominis) is shown posteriorly
tilting the pelvis while standing
upright. The moment arms for each
muscle group are indicated by the
dark black lines. The extension at the
hip stretches the iliofemoral ligament
(shown as a short, curved arrow just
anterior to the femoral head).

La Balanza de Pauwells
Sistema de palanca de primer
gnero. El punto de apoyo es la
cabeza femoral. La resistencia es
el peso del cuerpo (P) y la
potencia por la fuerza del glteo
medio (GM).
La fuerza del glteo medio permite
mantener la pelvis horizontal,
ademas est asistido por el tensor
de la fascia lata (TFL)
