ACTIVITY/ CLASS ORGANISATION: homework checking; warm up activity
The teacher will list the objectives and will check the homework

POSSIBLE PROBLEMS: The students may have some problems with the pronunciation of
some words. The teacher will be prepared to promt if necessary or ask the other ss to
correct the possible errors.

CONTEXT: predicting the answers to three questions;


ACTIVITY/ CLASS ORGANISATION: The teacher presents the ss the title of the text
"The man, the boy and the donkey". The teacher asks the ss to try to guess the answers to
three questions:
1-Who rode first?
2-Who rode next?
3-Did they carry the donkey?
AIDS: handouts, blackboard, notebooks
LANGUAGE: All and any
POSSIBLE PROBLEMS: Some students may have problems at reading some words correctly.
The teacher will be ready to promt if necessary.

Objective 3: estimated time: 15'


CONTEXT: reading, new words;
ACTIVITY/ CLASS ORGANISATION: The teacher names three students to take turns in reading the
parts of the short story "The man, the boy and the donkey". The teacher asks the ss the new words
and tells them the Romanian translation whenever is necessary. The teacher asks the ss to check
if they were right about the questions. The ss name themselves to answer.

POSSIBLE PROBLEMS: Some students may have problems at reading some words correctly.
The teacher will be ready to promt if necessary.

ACTIVITY/ CLASS ORGANISATION: The ss are asked to work in pairs and choose the correct
answer (a,b,c). The ss write only the no. of the sentence and the correct letter. The ss are asked
to give the correct answer.

CONTEXT: homework;
ACTIVITY/ CLASS ORGANISATION: The teacher will explain the assignment. Ss are told to write
ex. D as homework. They have to fill in each gap with a correct word from the text.
The first gap is filled as an example. The teacher writes on the blackboard.
