500AT
Digital Analyzer

The Trig-Tek 500AT Digital Analyzer is designed to provide amplitude,

frequency, and phase information obtained from a complex wave form
as may be encountered at sensors used to measure vibration. The analyzer is
comprised of two main parts: the Carrier Generator and the Data Channel.

Key Features
5 Hz to 5 kHz frequency range
Linear/Log of Frequency
Linear/Log of Level
Frequency sweep
Manual tuning
Auto frequency tracking
Digital Hz/RPM counter
Digital level indicator

Product Information
The Trig-Tek 500AT is a tracking or
manually-tuned analyzer. It provides
analysis of an input signal by digitally
displaying the amplitude and frequency
of the individual components of that signal.
It provides phase information between the
REF and DATA signals. It provides analog
outputs, as well as the digital displays of
frequency and amplitude.
The 500AT provides the means to lock
on and track the reference input signal.
It provides the DC of Frequency and
frequency/speed indication. Frequency
readings are provided by means of a front
panel digital meter with 0.1 Hz resolution
or 10 RPM resolution.
The data input channel has a four-pole
Bessel Band-Pass Filter that permits
separating closely adjoined frequency
components. Level readings on the analyzer amplitude meter are provided with
0.1, 0.3, 1, 3, and 10 V Full Scale
(FS). It also provides 10, 30, 100,
300, or 1000 g FS.

In the Auto mode of operation, the analyzer will lock-on and automatically track
a changing frequency REF signal, ensuring
the component being tracked is always in
the center of the filter. The Sine and Cosine
outputs allow polar plots of the signal being
analyzed.
The Sweep mode provides a method
of setting the upper and lower frequency
limits as well as the sweep rate using the
front panel controls. The unit can sweep
between two frequencies in Linear or
Log mode.
In the Manual Tuning mode of operation,
the operator can manually tune the BandPass Filter to any frequency in the range.
