Free tire collection (4 passenger tires, 4 Light truck tires per family) will occur April 24 (8 noon), 28 (4 – 7 PM) and 29 (4 – 7 PM) Friday evening April 30 clean up by BCC members will be on portions of Hackett Hill Rd and Chelsea Rd. Recycling Depot Update – Recycling Advisory Committee (RAC) will recommend to Selectboard that Town remain a part of CVSWMD. Composting – Dick to contact Oxbow School Board about problems with composting program. (AI) Motion: To acquire and present certificates [ 4x $20 to Colatina and 4x $20 to Bradford Sports ] to Oxbow students for work on Composting Program. Monies from BCC Composting Budget.

Motion: To provide Speaker on Permaculture with an honorarium of $200. Dick to contact Senior Center Executive Director, Vicky Chaffee to seek venue for Permaculture presentation (AI) Field Trips / Workshops: • Have received an offer to provide a talk on the Emerald Ash borer followed by a hike on our conserved lands seeking evidence of infestation. Possibly June 19. • Paul Hunt is planned to give a workshop in July on Geocaching Land Conservation • Burgess Appraisal & Application – VHCB has walked the property and given verbal support for funding. • Thomas Appraisal & Application – Robert Lamprey is currently working on appraisal. • Conservation Fund – Money donated as a result of the bulk mail appeal is currently at ~$900 Benefit Concert is tentatively scheduled for 25 or 26 June. Monique is in contact with several potential sources of acts. New Business • Burgess Appraisal & Application – Awaiting decision on funding which is still 2 – 3 months away • Thomas Appraisal & Application – Appraisal in progress • Conservation Fund – Money donated as a result of the bulk mail appeal is at approximately $900
1) Dick gave his summary of the Town Officers Education Conference. A session on linked lands and extent of habitat was especially interesting 2) Nancy and Monique gave summaries of the AVCC Annual Meeting. The presentation on SmartGrowth was notable. 3) Issue of membership in the Upper Valley Trails Alliance was tabled. 4) Dick was authorized to further investigate providing trail information to National Recreational and Parks Assoc. GIS database.
