Color Scheme:

The background color is copied from the Culture Center’s website. I wanted to stay within an analogous,
warm color range so I chose a different red and yellow for the buttons, as well as two different yellows
for the copy. I wanted to buttons and flags to stand out and appear quite vibrant, so I found images that
were highly saturated which I believe helps them pop because they are far different than the rest of the
interface.
Notes:

I wanted the experience to be fairly close to that of the website, with far more simplicity. The color
scheme is drawn from the Center’s website, and the colors are analogous to the background to provide
a comforting, cohesive feel. The buttons for adding and reducing tickets as well as the flag language
icons greatly contrast the rest of the design. As opposed to muted and soft they are bright, high
contrast, and flashy. I did this because I wanted these elements in particular to be impossible for users
to miss, without being so different that they look out of place in the interface. I also left the logo and
name of the Center as a running header so that if users start at a screen besides the first page they will
know what they are getting themselves into.
