Drawing Pricilla Portenier wins Best of Show!
The Sand Painters have a special friend, Wilma Schaffert, who has donated
3 prints and an original painting to be given away at the meetings. The
drawing for the original painting was held at the April meeting luncheon.
Debby Galloway was the lucky recipient of the painting. Yahoo!

Jenny Reece, local Art for Youth director, requested artists to spend time with beginning artists on the 2nd Saturday
afternoon of each month starting July 10th at 1:00 p.m.
A motion was made to donate $50, $25 per person, to Lindsey Ferguson and Emily Heerton from Springview to help them
attend the “Water color in the black Hills” with Joan Swim. Motion passed.
The bill for the Pamida windows was submitted and was to pick up payment in the following days.
Nancy Blumenstock shared that a college level art and music school was being started in honor of Shawn Funk. They are
asking for donations of works of art for resale. Contact Nancy for information.
Celeste Sullivan thanked the members of the Sand Painters for the memorial money donated for her mother but returned it
as a donation to the club.
A good time was had at the nature conservancy for the spring retreat. Hedda Matheson, Nancy Blumenstock, Joan Swim,
June Sheppard, and Claudia Bestol stayed in the Crew’s cabin, very relaxing and productive.
The group returned to the library and hung the ANAC Spring Show.

Space reservation fee is $20 which includes a 12 x12’ booth, a $10 lunch
voucher to one of Geneva’s fine lunch establishments, and electricity.
(Electricity is limited to 6 vendors).
The Courthouse lawn will be available beginning at 7 am, with accessible
parking nearby. Booths must be available to the public by 9:30 am, and
must be left open until 5 pm. No early take-downs, please, unless inclement
weather dictates otherwise. Artists are responsible for providing their own
tents, tables, electrical cords and other accessories. Artists are responsible
for their own sales. Celebrate Geneva requires no commission.
Please identify giclee or other prints as such. No crafts or mass produced
items, please.
Make checks out to Geneva Art Club, and return this application by
June 15th, 2010 to:

Old library hangers – are gone. Pat has disassembled them. Yeah.
Past years of Ceramics Monthly - 1993-2005 I’m cleaning and rearranging and these magazines are going. Let me know
if anyone wants them.
