90 percent of my stock
comes from the Philippines
and 10 percent from Italy. I
like dealing with the Filipino
people and their designs
are different [from] anyone
elses. We are increasingly
looking for contemporary
styles and the young Filipino
designers are
doing some

interesting
things, said
Gregory Frehling
of Oggetti
Designs (USA)
in an interview
with PIFS Consultant
Margaret Moore.
Foreign buyers share
a fondness in Filipino
designers use of local
materials. As hotels
and resorts clamor for
Sustainable Design,
the market is ever
growing. Potential
buyers (not just
from the resort
industry) are
encouraged to
attend so this is
your chance to get
home decor from
design worlds
best.

appear in Philippine
paintings. The only
memorable one repeatedly
cited in Art History is that of
painter Fernando Amorsolo,
used in the label of a native

Then came another Fernando
who proliferated in the 1980s,
whose work can be identified
from a line of paintings due to
its signature angels and bright
pastels.

In a review, art critic and
book author Cid Reyes writes,
In this current show, one just
has to meet The Angel on
Top of The World, for that
is exactly where Modesto
should be, having reached a
stage in life where nothing
more need be proven.
