INTRODUCTION

Background of the Project


Though this widespread of technology, the computer has been improve where it
incorporates with the in demand nowadays are the tablets, touchpads, and mini
pads. Most of these tablets are powered Android OS system that is used to be
able to execute the android programs. In years there are several versions of
operating system which are now used to execute the tablets, smartphones and
android phones.

Android is the most popular mobile platform in the world. Android development is
become an increasingly popular field. For developers who want to target a huge,
diverse audience, The in demand use of computer system software has been
implemented from PC, mobile and even other means of technology and
Applications / Games are now invading it. In years, Games are also being
implemented by the use of the World Wide Web. Programmers and developers
continuously discover and develop new faces, styles of games or apps which
most of the people were looking forward in it .In line with this, several android
applications are being developed running to the tablets. Most are for gaming,
application system, knowledge base system and data processing.

Android tablets, smartphones and touchpad are very in demand in todays gener
ation, People are all having this kind of gadgets not just to personal and business
but it also lessen the boredom from work and daily stressful life. Enjoyment which
might carried from the use of this gadgets and maintaining to use as a stress and
boredom relievers.
Games are one of the attractive features that the android tablets, smartphones
and touchpad have, people get to explore and download games that might fits to
their needs to lessen the boredom.
The developers would like to develop a game to be able to provide learning and
entertainment that will be very helpful for the players. The name of the game is
______________
________________ is 2d quiz jet shooter android-based game that will give the
players the educative quiz and enjoyment of jet shooter game. The aim is to
answer each question and destroy all the enemies to pass each level and go to
the next level, each level has its own given boss that has their own unique
powers. The game will consist of three subjects with three level of difficulty easy,
medium and hard, as the player advance to every stage the difficulty of quiz
increased. In every last level the difficulty increased, you need to defeat the boss
to advance to the next level. The attractive characters, thrill in shooting the
enemy and challenging quiz combine to deliver excitement as the player advance
to the next level.

Purpose of the Project


The developers had aimed to develop and implement a 2D android-based
game written in C#, using the Mono-develop and the Unity game engine. This
project is called Sleeping Jack. The specific purposes of the project are as
follows:
1. To provide an alternative learning source for players;
2. To produce an eye-catching game atmosphere;
3. To offer players the excitement of feeling the thrill by selecting a subject with
each special bosses; and
4. To provide special ammunition for additional firepower.

Scope and Delimitations


The project entitled sleeping jack is an Android 2D quiz jet shooter game
single-player mode. The main objective of the game is to answer the quiz to
obtain a power up to shoot and defeat enemies easily.
The player has the capability to read the plot of the story, to turn the game
audio on and off.

The game consist of three subjects and provide three level of difficulty
easy, medium and hard. The easy level will be English, medium for science and
hard for math. The player should accomplish the level to advance to the next
level.

In the game, the player will control a jet fighter multi-directional that fires
automatically with infinite ammo to shoot the enemies. The jet has abilities such
as a bomb and it changes ammunition. The enemies appear on the screen
randomly in numbers trying to shoot your jet which youll have to dodge to
prevent you from getting killed. In the game the player will come across a distinct
icon that when he/she gets comes with a special ammunition, every ammunition
comes with a question that the player must answer to acquire it, the same goes
upon entering the boss stage of each level he/she must answer a batch of
question to fight the boss. The player will receive points for every enemy killed
and question answered correctly.
The game created only for touch screen pads, or touchscreen phones to
work only for android-based operating system. It will only cater 2D Graphics and
does not project 3D graphics.

Significance of the Project

The proponents aim to develop the sleeping jack game to provide
enjoyable and educational game available in android system. The project will
contribute as a reliable resource for both the gaming and academic fields in
gathering and generating game design information. The project is beneficial to
the following:

Player. The project will deliver informative question and fun learning
experience. This shall be able to address the enjoyment of the player by playing

Developers. This is very helpful to the proponents, allows giving deep
knowledge and experience in Android Programming.
University. This shall serve as the reference of the students in terms of
developing a computer system application program using android system.
Game Industry. This project serves as another treasure to the game
industry, showcasing developers teamwork creativity and technical skills.

Definition of Terms

In assurance to better understanding on the part of the reader, the


standard or operational definitions of selected terms used in the project are
hereby provided.
Android-based Game. This refers to a game that runs on any mobile
phone with an android operating system.
Aik. A nature-type Jarpes that bites the Pontele Troops with its crazy chew
skill.
Apeng. A dark-type Jarpes that shoots dark fireball to Pontele Troops
using inferno blast.
Ashipi. One of the dark forces summoned by Macario. She possesses the
Demon's Extract which allows her to manipulate water and turn it into ice at her
own will.
Asyang. Magic type Pontele Troop, that defends the castle of Kingdom
Pontele by way of her raging skill.
Asyong. Melee-type Pontele Troop; a rock creature that smashes every
Jarpes that comes against it.
Attack.

Aggressive action against (a place or enemy forces) with

weapons or armed force, typically in a battle or war.


Attack of Jarpes. This pertains to the title of the android 2D strategic
tower defense-based game in single-player mode having been developed.
Baduchi. A dark-type Jarpes that slashes Pontele Troops using guillotine
slash.
Baldo. The Melee-type Pontele Troop that attacks the Jarpes by his
mighty sword.

Banana. That which a player gains throughout the game for every Jarpes
killed; one of the requirements in order to upgrade Pontele Troops.
Cacam. This is the defensive troop of the Pontele Troop; it gives tough
defensive skill that Jarpes cannot tame.
Clibebe. It is an ogre with exceptional ability. It can influence the earth, the
stone and the rocks. It can also move objects with his mind (telekinesis) and can
shake the ground to defeat anyone who dares defeat him.
Chibi-Type. It is an adjective that means small and/or miniature in a good
or cute way.
Dudot. Range-type Pontele Troop, which has power to destroy Jarpes
with his killer arrows.
Fowla. A fire-type Jarpes that shoots fireball to Pontele Troops, using her
flame thrower skill.
Fushi. A wind-type Jarpes that crushes the Pontele Troops with its
massive cyclone skill.
Gold Key. That which a player gains throughout the game for every Boss
killed; the requirement in order to unlock realm.
Greggy. A nature-type Jarpes that casts a rock attack to the Pontele
Troops with its Boulder-Toss skill.
Jabol. A wind-type Jarpes that consumes the air around the Pontele
Troops with its Air-slurp skill.
Jarpes. These are the enemy troops summoned by the main antagonist,
Macario.

Kanaki. A fire-type Jarpes that punches Pontele Troops using his fiery
punch.
Kazheet. A wind-type Jarpes that stabs the Pontele Troops with its tail
whip.
Kemehai. A bat that has extreme wind power; it can produce wind with
speed so fast that could inflict scratch damages on enemys body. With its
resilient, it can also create a full-sized tornado.
Kib-Kib. A nature-type Jarpes that punches the Pontele Troops with its
Skeletal Punch.
Kingdom Pontele. This is the kingdom that Macario wants to invade.
Kyupi. A fire-breathing Jarpes that could let out fire against the Pontele
Troops.
Macario. The main antagonist of the game; one whose main aim is to
invade Kingdom Pontele.
Mana. That which is produced by the Wapaks; the only requirement in
order to deploy any Pontele troop.
Mole-Mole. A dark-type Jarpes that licks the Pontele Troops with its Toxic
Lick skill.
Onytz. Melee-type Pontele Troop; which has the power to protect the
Kingdom Pontele with his striking moves and his sharp spear.
Pontele Troops. These are the good troops defending the Kingdom
Pontele

Owtesi. A young flare-master girl who can create a ball of fire with her two
hands. With her flame powers, she can either defend herself against enemies or
even attack enemies to the point of defeating them.
Silver Key. That which a player gains throughout the game for every
completed stage; the other requirement in order to upgrade Pontele Troops.
Sprikitik. A water-type Jarpes that punches the Pontele Troops with its
aqua punch skill.
Taculcul. A water-type Jarpes that strikes the Pontele Troops with its iron
drill skill.
Totoy. A water-type Jarpes that attacks the PonteleTroops with its bungee
head-butts skill.
Wapaks. Producers of mana and that which is Pontele Troops last line of
defense.
