Engineer Ali Mirza denies that Saiyiduna Muaviah was A Katib of Vah:y.
But One Of The Greatest Scholars in Subcontinent South Asia Maula:na: Irsha:d Al Athari: hath
written in affirmation of the belief that Saiyiduna: Ima:muna: and Maulana: Muaviah RD Was A Katib
AL Vah:y.
Below we do produce its English Translation , From His Famous Book:=

TRANSLATION OF TOPIC WAS SAIYIDUNA: MUAVIAH KATIB OF VAH:Y IS GIVEN

The close relation ship of Saiyiduna: Muaviah RD: andHoly Prophet S:VS is not a secret to any

one.
He [Muaviah RD:]was a Katib/Catib [Copyist/Copier/lit: Writer] of Vah:y [Revelation/Aspiration] as
stated by (1) Imam M-a:fi RH: ;(2) Shaikh Al Isla:m Ima:m Ibn Taimiah RH: writeth that He
[Mua:viah RD:] WAS A Katib of Vah:y and He was among those people who were made Ami:n
[Trustable/trustworthy] in Writing of Vah:y [M-NHA:J ASSUNNAH pg 11,Vol4]; (3)H:afiz: Ibn H:az-m
RH: Writeth And ZAID Bin Th:a:bit RD: was most of all indulged in writing [Copying ] of Vah:y ,after
the conquest of Makkah Saiyiduna: Muaviah RD: also performed this duty. They did not do any other
act/job beside [writing/copyinig].
(4)Allamah Navavi RH: (d:676AH)writeth In most of the cases Zaid Bin Tha:bit RD: and Muaviah
RD: used to Write.

The very same thing is stated by(5) Ibn Jauzi: RH(d:) in T-LQI:H: F=HWM AHL AL AS:R [Pg 37] and
M-D-H-SH [Pg43];
The very same thing is mentioned by (6) -ya:d: in -SH-SH-FA:; and Allamah -L KH-FAJI: in the
Commentary of -SH-SH-FA: namely N-SI:M -RR-YA:D [pg 430,Vol: 3].

that He [ SAIYIDUNA MUAVIAH] WAS A KA:TIB ALH:Y.
How ever Abul H:ASAN BIN M-H:AMM-D A-L MADA:Y-NI: (D:224 AH] has said that He [Saiyiduna:
Muaviah RD:] only wrote Epistles Of Prophethood [May Peace Of ALL-H Be Upon Prophethood].
Based upon the statement of Abul H:as-n ,some latter scholars wrote that Saiyiduna:
Mua:viah RD was not a Katib Al Vah:y.
But in comparison to Ima:m M-A:FI who is prior to Abul H:-s-n, and is more Reliable
[Th:-q-h] , and to reject Ima:m M-a:fi is not Permitable [Not Pertmitted].

It is narrated from (14) Ima:m AH:M-D [Bin H:-NB-L] RH: (D241AH) From Correct [S:AH:H:] Chain of Reporters [S-N-D] that He was asked

, What Thou Sayest About A Person Who Saith I do Not Say That He [Saiyiduna:
Muaviah RD:] Was Katib Of Vah:y .
IMA:M REPLIED AS FOLLOW:=
This Dictum Is Bad [Su:] ,People Should Try To Stay Away From Him [i.e from Such A
Person],Should Not Sin With Him ;And We Shall Inform The People. [AL ASMA: AL KH:LYL].

Haqq Al Ath:ari:

From these it becomes clear [Vad:ih:] that Saiyiduna: MuA:viah

was undisputedly the Ka:tib of Vah:y.Some Shi:ah historians have


also confessed that He was the Ka:tib Of Vah:y. Majority of Historians
and People of Knowledge have stated that he he was also Ka:tib of
Vah:y, and all the specifications which were achieved by Zaid RD:, he
shared them with him.

This work of Maulana Irsha:d Al H:aqq Ath:ari can be used


as an antidote of several lectures of Engineer Muh:ammad
Ali Mirza Of Jhelum the founder of Jhelumiah Sect or
Enginieeriah Sect, like 116:a,b,c; 131 etc. which are found in
www.ahlesunnatpak.com .
Peoples of Knowledge must see that a number of scholars of
of highest eminent in Ahlussunnah Val Jama:-ah do have
accepted that Saiyidunna Mua:viah RD was a Ka:tib of
Vah:y,beyond any shadow of doubt.
One of the most dangerous trick of this person whose name /noun is Engineer Ali Mirza is
that when ever he finds any quotation of any Sunni scholar he use to state his noun/name
and argues that before saying any thing to me say to him, as id Ali Mirza is a Muqallid of
him who so ever he may be on that issue, but when a number of scholars of have rejected
a view which Engineer adopts some how he does not mention that he DOES contradict a
number of great scholars.
Ali Mirza armed with heresy and enmity of S:ah:A:bah in general and of Saiyiduna:
Muaviah RD: in particular does stand against scholars like above. If we remove the
Respected Noun Of Imam Ibn Taimiah from the list since Enginer ALI:
MIRZA does ascribe some Kufr to Him [Astaghfarullah] like the denouncing of ALH:ADI:TH: AL MUTVA:TIR,and denouncing of PreExistence Of ALL-H , still Engineer Ali

Mirza cannot denounce a number of other scholars cited above as Kafir or cannot ascribe
any Kufr towards them.
TWO ARGUMENTS OF THE ENGINEER:=
1] At the time Saiyiduna Muaviah embressed Isla:m .all the Qura:n was revealed and it
is then impossible to write any new verse after the completion of Qura:n. So all the
scholars have erred jointly.
Answer:= A Katib AL VAH:Yis a person who writes revelation as appointed to write it by
the Holy Prophet. It is not necessary that he has to write the immediately revealed
A:ya:t. So if he wrote some Revealation which were previously written by others, after
being appointed by the Holy Prophet even then he is Ka:tib Al Vah:y. We have answered
this in a privious in an article.
2] Saiyiduna Mua:viah RD: was appointed as a Ka:tib on the recommendation of his
Father.
Answer:= Recommendation is no a bad thing as assumed by Ali Mirza.
Recommend means to suggest that someone or something would be good or suitable for
a particular job or purpose, or to suggest that a particular action should be done.
If Saiyiduna Muaviah was suggested to Holy Prophet BY Saiyiduna: Abu: S-fya:n RD: that
he is good and suitable for the Job of Writing [i.e Copying] there is no pobjection in it.
Either Saiyiduna: Muaviah was not suitable for the Job or he was suitable for the Job of
Copyist [Ka:tib/Writing]. If he was not then Holy Prophet must not have accepted this
recommendation.
If he was suitable for the Job then Holy Prophet must not reject a good suggestion what
so ever.
It is reported that it was the general habit of Holy Prophet PBUH not to reject a
recommendation , then this does not mean that Holy Prophet used to accept bad
recommendations , since this is against His Infallibility [Mas:u:miah].
So if Holy Prophet accepted the recommendation this imply that it was a good
suggestion .
Ali Mirza has used the word Sifa:rishi: in Urdu mix Panjabi which cannotes very negative
meaning.
This word means One Who Is Recommended [ as there is no proper word for Sifarishi: in
English one may use the word recommendee or recommendand for the meaning.].
But in Urdu and Panjabi this word for a recommendation of a person who is not
eligible for the Job. Engineer Ali Mirza did use the fallacy of using words with
negative connotation.

If it is argued that if Muaviah RD: was perfect for the Job , so why did Holy Prophet
appointed him for the Job by Himself.
The reason is clear that Holy Prophet is not A:LIB AL GH:AIB and did not know about
the details of Muaviah. But when he Appointed for the Job even ALL-H did not
contradicteth His Prophet implying that it is a Al H Vah:y AL H:ukmi: .
So it is not the recommendation of the Saiyiduna Muaviah RD: BUT it is the
acceptance of the Recommendation by the Prophet that is significant and important.
The minimum criteria and qualification of accepting the recommendation did exist in
Muaviah RD: this is a Virtue Fad:i:lah of Saiyiduna: Mua:viah RD: .
If it is supposed that Muaviah was appointed by Holy Prophet because Holy Prophet
neither reject a Rcommendation nor a commendation, then we particularize
[Takhs:i:s:] it by Just Recommendation.
This was a Just Recommendation or a Valid Commendation and neither Unjust nor
Invalid. So if Prophet PBUH accepts a just recommendation or commendation or both
the acceptance of Recommendation or Commendation or both is a Virtue even if it
was due to the reason that Holy Prophet was the Holy Habit of Holy Prophet not to
reject a Just Recommendation.
If the Recommendation was unjust and Holy Prophet Had accepted just because he
could not refuse any Recommendation, the ALL-H SUBH:AN-HU VATAA:LA: must have
prevented His Prophet from accepting an unjust recommendation.
Points of Knowledge:
1] The Infallibility and Innocence of Prophet prevents the Holy Prophet from
accepting unjust recommendations and invalid commendations.
2] If Prophet Had accepted an incorrect and unjust recommendation
must have prevented to accept this recommendation.

3] If for the sake of argument it is supposed for a moment that Saiyiduna Muaviah
was not a Katib of Vah:y [Astaghfarullah] then He was the Ka:tib of Epistles of Holy
Prophet , and this is also one of the GREATEST Jobs On Earth.
4] Engineer Ali Mirza did not informed that by denying that Muaviah was A Ka:tib
Al Vah:y he contradicts a number of great scholars.
5] Muh:aqqiq Irsha:ad Al H:aqq Athari: is for more great in knowledge in traditions
that Zubair Ali Zai and Ali Mirza.

So if it is assumed for a while just for an argument that the Former Teacher OF
Engineerr Ali Mirza [Zubair Ali Zai] also denied it [if the claim that in last hours of his
life he denied (Nau:dh:ubillah) be true] then it cannot be authority to others.
6] The work of Muh:aqqiq Irsha:d Al H:AQQ Ath:riREFUTES all those who deny
Muaviah RD was a Katib Of Vah:y.
So it is a powerful weapon rather a Nuclear Weapon against a number of Lectures of
Engineer Ali Mirza: like Lec. No 116:a,b,c131 etc.
