ABOUT OUR SPEAKER
Dr. Lois King currently serves as Director for Student Support Services and Adjunct Professor at Atlantic Union College. She was the fist female Director of the Sabbath School and Religious Liberty Departments of Northeastern Conference. She was an assistant professor and director of marketing at Atlantic Union College. For eight years she was Director and Instructor of the Department of Career’s and Continuing Education at Canadian University College. Her education includes attendance at Caribbean Union College in Trinidad, her birthplace, and where she graduated with an associate degree in Liberal Arts. She holds bachelors degree in Business Administration from La Sierra University and a Masters degree in Family Life Education from Loma Linda University, and a PhD in Higher Education Leadership at Touro University. Dr. King is a Certified Family Life Educator. In 1995 she received the Women of Year for outstanding service from Operation ReachBack Incorporated and later, an award for outstanding leadership from the Caribbean Association of Adventist in Alberta (CAAA) where she served as president. In 2000 the Business Department of Atlantic Union College recognized Dr. King as an outstanding teacher in Marketing and Business Administration. She has received many awards and recognition in leadership. Dr. King is an ordained local elder of the SDA church and has been the author of the “Youth & Relationship” column in the Atlantic Union GLEANER for the past five years. She also writes for the MESSAGE Magazine. She conducts seminars and lectures nationally, and internationally. Dr. King is married to Dr. Donald G. King, President of the Atlantic Union Conference. They have two sons—Louie, who is married to Elisa, and Marvin, all of whom are graduates of Atlantic Union College.

Northeastern Conference session – Today we are praying that God will take control of the process of electing our conference leaders for the next four year. The large committee will meet at 8:00 am tomorrow at Linden SDA Church and all the delegates will meet the following week, June 8, at Victory Lake at 7:00 am. Agape delegates include: Pastor Joshua Deonarine Elder Alfred Rodrigues, and Sister Esther Tannassee Elders Retreat – Our Elder’s will retreat for a four hours of prayer and planning next Saturday night from 6:00 pm. – 10:00 pm. Elder Rodrigues will meet with you to tell you of the venue and other info.

Her goal in life is to motivate people, especially young people to realize their goal and strive towards their maximum potential. Agape and the Women’s Ministries Department welcome Dr. King with open arms of love. Thank you for choosing to minister to our congregation today.
