Desired result(s) for THIS goal: For parents to have a
better understanding as to how they can help their children
be successful in school. Also, for parents to understand
that what students do at home affects their school career.

use this to write notes back and forth

Calendars will need to be changed
weekly or monthly depending on how
the teacher decides to do this.
Monthly newsletters will be written in
order to share important information with
parents about what is happening in the
school. This can discuss important

EACH ACTIVITY & WHEN?
A parent volunteer will be needed from
each school to represent each school in
the yearly Title I funding meeting. A
school parent representative is one of
the requirements for Title I schools to
receive their funding.
A classroom mother (parents or
grandparents) needs to be found for
each classroom teacher. The goal is to
have a classroom mother available at
least once a week. This could be done
with a couple of different parents
splitting up the time. Parents could help
with making copies, reading with
students, or anything that the teacher
feels comfortable with them helping with.

We will have the tutors work with
struggling readers. We will provide them
with training so that they have some

students. This would need to be started
in the summer so that it can get kicked
off quickly.
