Extended Firm Holidays

On May 14, 2015, Bob Moritz announced to all PwC US staff that the firm is providing three extended firm
holidays this year. The firm will close on July 2 for an extended Independence Day weekend. The firm will also
close on December 28 and 29. In conjunction with these extended firm holidays, all staff will use either vacation
or floating holidays on December 30 and 31, resulting in a break from December 25 through January 3.

Note: Scheduled holidays (including extended firm holidays) are non-transferable (i.e., if a
scheduled holiday occurs during a leave of absence, you will not be entitled to time off to make up for
the scheduled holidays you have missed).
*Floating Holidays
This number may vary in some offices due to recognition of local holidays (e.g., Patriots Day).
Floating Holiday Entitlement for New Hires
The number of floating holidays that a newly hired staff member is entitled to depends on their date
of hire. Below is a chart that sets forth the policy for staff members hired after July 1, 2015, indicating
the number of floating holidays earned.

Generally, floating holidays may be taken any time during the fiscal year. However, approval should
be obtained prior to taking a floating holiday to ensure no client or scheduling conflicts exist. The use
of a floating holiday might be for any reason such as Presidents Day, Martin Luther King, Jr. Day or
religious or ethnic observances such as Good Friday and Yom Kippur. Providing this discretion to
partners and staff underscores commitment to Work/Life effectiveness and to the belief that partners
and staff should have the flexibility to decide what days fit their diverse needs. Floating holidays must
be taken prior to June 30 in each fiscal year as they do not accrue or roll into subsequent years, unless
otherwise mandated by local or state law. Also, individuals who terminate their employment are not
paid for unused floating holidays, unless otherwise mandated by local or state law.
Early Office Closings
At the discretion of the Market Managing Partner in conjunction with the Market Council, offices may
close two hours early the day prior to a firm holiday in order to offer people time to plan their holiday
time accordingly.
