Discussion on pupils reading problem

Procedure

1) CPs discuss the problems faced in conducting reading lesson


(using sticky notes).
2) CPs discuss the various activities that can be conducted during
reading lesson in a mix ability classroom.

Procedure

1) Faci presents the sample of a reading lesson plan.


2) Faci focuses on the objectives of the lesson. Highlight the
differences on the objectives for mainstream and LINUS pupils.
3) Faci presents and demonstrates the activities in the lesson plan.
4) Refer to PowerPoint slides.

Design and presentation of the lesson plans (CPs)

Procedure

1) Using the textbook (by different Unit) , the groups have to desifn a
reading lesson plan with activities which are suitable for a mix
ability classroom.
2) Each group presents their lesson plan and exchanging ideas
among CPs.

Look for the common ground between the mainstream pupils and
those who have yet to acquire basic literacy.

Each group will have to design a complete lesson plan which is


suitable to be used in the mix ability classroom.
