Declaring Our Intentions:

Ready For Change
Posted by Madame Butterfly

If you are feeling stuck in your life and are ready for change, take time to declare to the
Universe that you are ready.

There comes a point in most of our lives when we feel ready to experience a change
weve had trouble carrying out. Maybe weve been stuck in a home, a relationship, job,
or a town that hasnt felt right for a long time, but weve been unable to shift our
circumstances in the direction we want to go. At times like this, it can help to declare to
the universe that we are ready for a change. Think of it as informing a helpful friend
that you need her assistance to move to the next level in your life. If the time is right,
the universe will respond with opportunities and offers designed to help you create the
change you wish to see.
You can begin the process of making your declaration by getting clear within yourself
about what exactly you want to change. Whenever we ask anyone for help, they can
assist us that much better if we are specific. The universe also appreciates our clarity
and has an easier time answering a direct communication than a vague yearning. When
you are clear on what you want, write your declaration on a piece of paper and place it
on your altar, if you have one. If you dont, you can also place it under your pillow or in
a box on your nightstand. Set aside a period of time every day to be silent with your
wishes for change, repeating your declaration like a mantra. This lets the universe
know that you are ready to change and will be receptive to its efforts.
Feel free to continue to refine and redefine your declaration, and remember to be open
to the many different ways in which the change you seek might come to be. Remember
also to be active in your own efforts, taking opportunities that come your way, watching
for signs, and always taking responsibility for your intentions. If things dont happen
quickly, try not to be discouraged; it might take time to free up energy that has been
blocked and possibly serving a purpose beyond what we can understand. If you
continue your conversation with the universe, declaring yourself clearly and openly,
you cannot help but experience the magic of changing and being changed.

Swimming Pool Hair Care:

DIY Detangling Spray + Green Hair
Posted by SunKat

To prevent against dry and green hair, rinse your hair with regular tap water before you
get in the pool then spray in detangler and comb through. This will help seal the hair
shaft and prevent the copper from attaching to your hair. Then as soon as you get out of
the pool, rinse hair again and spray in conditioner again.
This DIY detangling spray is so easy to make (and the kids love to use it) youll want to
keep one at home and one tucked in your beach bag. My daughter refuses to cut her
hair, despite the fact that she pitches a fit when its combed. When will people learn
that short hair is so much easier? :) This spray has saved us from many, many tears.
2 tablespoons of natural conditioner
Warm water
5 drops rosemary essential oil
Spray bottle
1. Add conditioner to the spray bottle (or 3 depending on size of bottle) and fill the
rest of the bottle warm water.
2. Shake to mix well and dissolve the conditioner.
3. Add rosemary essential oil and shake again.

Green-Be-Gone Hair Mask

If you do get the dreaded green locks, heres a simple hair mask to treat it. Mix together
1/4 cup lemon juice, 2-4 tablespoons baking soda and 1 tablespoon liquid Castile soap.
Apply the entire mixture to wet, clean hair, massaging it in from the roots of the hair to
the ends. Let the mask sit for 20 minutes then rinse thoroughly and wash and
Note, this mask is great for highlighted or untreated hair. If your hair is colored, be
warned the baking soda and lemon juice can strip out the color as well as the green.
Good alternatives to avoid this include a mask of tomato juice (the acids remove the
green), a shampoo designed to remove the metal and, of course, prevention!

Lavender Rose Foot Cream

STEP 1. Gather all your ingredients together. You will need one teaspoon of beeswax. If
you do not know of a place that sells this locally, it is very easy to find online. I did a
quick internet search and I saw amazon, Walmart, and many other places carry it. I like
to get the little pearls because they melt really well. Coconut oil is available at your
local grocery store. I found this distilled water at the grocery store, too. You can actually
make the distilled water at home if you don't feel like buying it. It is just a process of
boiling out the impurities. I looked it up and found some tutorials that involved
trapping evaporated water in the inverted lid of a pot. I lucked out at the grocery store
and found this "WAT-AAH" in the flavored water section. The borax was in the
detergent section and sometimes you can even find the essential oils at the market, too.
STEP 2. Measure out your beeswax and coconut oil into a saucepan and melt over low
STEP 3. At the same time, measure 3 Tablespoons distilled water and add one teaspoon
borax and cook over low heat until the borax has dissolved.
STEP 4: When the borax has dissolved and the beeswax is melted, remove both
mixtures from the heat to cool. Give it 5-10 minutes. While you are letting them cool,
get a bowl of ice. Now place the pan containing the oil mixture in the bowl of ice and
add the essential oils to your liking. I added 15-20 drops of each. Make sure to be
whisking this the whole time, as the ice begins to solidify the mix. Keep stirring to
keep your mixture a nice smooth consistency.
STEP 5: At this point, you want to slowly add the borax mixture to the oil mixture and
whisk, whisk, whisk! It starts to thicken immediately.

This recipe makes about 3/4 cup. I doubled it to make two (one for me, of course!) I
added some mica powder for the rose tint (this is a natural tint you can add to beauty
products.) I just used the small Ball jars to store it in. It is a nice creamy consistency and
has a pleasing (without being overpowering) smell.
I like to rub this on my feet, put an old pair of socks on, and let it absorb overnight.
When I wake up the next morning, my feet feel nice and soft! Now I just want to
mention that the coconut oil can feel a little greasy if you are not used the consistency.
You could experiment with other oils (such as olive or jojoba) if you aren't a fan of the
coconut. I personally love the smell and it melts on contact with your skin. I got plenty
on my hands when I was making it and it is a heavy moisturizer (too heavy, in my
opinion, for the face but fantastic for feet and other rough spots, like elbows).
Well I do hope you are able to take a little time to pamper your tootsies! It's the little
treats that make life fun!

How To Let Go Of Negative,

Limiting Beliefs About Yourself
Posted by Madame Butterfly

If you accept a limiting belief, then it will become truth for you. ~Louise Hay
Have you ever felt like you werent living up to your potential? That chasing your
ultimate dream is a waste of time because youll never accomplish it? Youre certainly
not alone. I know the feeling, and quite frankly, its awful.
Recently, I had occasion to visit a cemetery for military members and their families. I
saw tombstones over 100-years-old. Some of the people lived long lives, while many
did not have the privilege of growing old.
As I walked, I couldnt help but think of the kind of lives theyd lived. Some saw
unimaginable horrors in war that no doubt changed the quality and trajectory of their
lives. Were most of these people happy and fulfilled? I didnt know; tombstones dont
The thoughts that kept coming back were: How many of them went to their grave
with regret? How many settled and accepted the labels assigned, without ever finding
the satisfaction of breaking free and living life the way they truly wanted?
Going to the grave without ever realizing my full potential that scares me to the
bone. Its something that I have had to fight for most of my life. Its something that I
emphatically refuse to let happen.
Like most people, I took on the labels that authority figures assigned me at a young
age. Its what kids do.
As the years go by, those labels, whether true or not, become sewn into the fabric of our
being. They become part of our core, the vocabulary we use about ourselves, and the
thoughts we hold of ourselves.

The crime here is that so many times the labels have absolutely no anchor in truth.
Rather, they are skewed or twisted interpretations that others have about us or they are
our skewed and twisted interpretations of things said and done to us. Rarely are the
negative beliefs we hold about ourselves actually true.
My nemesis was the belief I am lazy. In adulthood, after studying counseling theory
for years in college, I finally figured out where it came from. I had always just assumed
it was part of who I was.
It came from my sixth grade teacher telling my parents, before I moved up to junior
high the following year, that I would be placed into remedial classes. I had tremendous
potential, she said. But I was lazy and wasnt performing to my full capability.
My parents sat me down and broke the news. I was devastated. I knew all of the harsh
things that other kids would say. I had heard them said before about others and didnt
like it. But now they would be saying it about me.
That belief directed the course of my life. I walked through life believing I was lazy
and began using that word in my inner vocabulary all because, at the age of eleven, my
teacher and parents told me I was lazy.
I never questioned it; I just accepted it. After all, why would my parents and teacher say
it if it wasnt true? They were supposed to know better than me.
That is how the negative beliefs we hold about ourselves hold us back from unleashing
the greatness within. Kids dont have the cognitive capacity or life experience to
question such things. They take the words of authority figures as truth, just as we are
conditioned to do.
If youve done the same, you must know that it doesnt have to continue. There is a
better way, and that way is to identify the negative beliefs that you hold deep down
and challenge and reframe them through the lens of wisdom and experience.
Going back to my example, I challenged that belief in my early thirties.
What I found is that my teacher and parents did not take into consideration the fact that
my mother and biological father went through an extremely violent divorce. He was the
criminal leader of a notorious motorcycle gang.

I didnt have a stable, comfortable home environment, and academics certainly werent
at the top of the priority list. My mom did her best, but working two or three jobs
makes it difficult to do homework with the kids every day.
Living in constant fear at such a tender age is not prime for a childs development.
Also, I started kindergarten before I turned five, so I was quite young for school.
The sum of these circumstances contributed to my early struggles in school. It wasnt
because I was lazy or choosing not to live to my potential.
When I looked back through a different lens that only experience and wisdom can
provide, I knew neither my parents nor teacher meant any harm. They simply didnt
know any better, and the teacher never asked about what was happening at home.
Putting myself in their shoes made me better understand what happened.
I took on their words without ever asking myself is it true? Had I not taken the time
to challenge this deep-seeded belief, there is not a doubt in my mind that I would be an
underperforming, underachieving, underpaid underling today. Changing that belief
literally changed my life.
The only thing stopping you from doing the same is you. If you hold negative views
about yourself, you are not living life authentically. If you let the words of others
define who you are, you are setting yourself up for failure. And chances are, youll
become one of the people who get to the cemetery clutching regret.
I dont want that for you. You dont want that for you. Make some time today to take
back your authentic self by taking these four steps to eliminate any negative core
beliefs you hold.
1. Write down or say out loud the belief (preferably both).
2. Think back to the earliest time you can remember having that belief.
What happened that made you feel that way? Did someone say something that hurt
your feelings? Put yourself in that moment again and hear their words, see their
actions, and feel whatever comes up. Dont push it aside. Stay there for a few minutes.

3. After youve replayed it in your mind, put yourself in the other persons shoes and
reframe it.
What was going on with them? Were they frustrated, stressed, or angry? This is
important, because it could signal that something was said in a moment where the
person was lashing out and did not mean to harm. It could also reveal that you took
something out of context.
4. Challenge the belief.
Write down the unequivocal proof that the person was right. Notethis must be
unequivocal proof. Not opinion, emotion, or pity.
If there is no proof, the belief is false and should be discarded. You will feel lighter
after releasing it. If there is proof, you now have a rock solid foundation from which to
start changing.
Changing behavior need not be intimidating. It requires that you be mindful when
making decisions. Youll want to make decisions that will get you to where you want to
go in life. I ask myself a single game changing question in everything I do: Is this is
alignment with my authentic purpose? If it isnt, I choose instead to do something that
When you do that consistently, youll change both the behavior and the negative belief.
Youll gain confidence and momentum, and youll start achieving things that once
seemed out of reach.
Most importantly, youll realize that others words dont define you. The words you
use about yourself and the actions you take do.

The Transformative
Power of Play
Posted by Maya S''

What if the solutions to our planets greatest challenges could be

discovered while playing a game?

During the first several years of my son Joshs life, he had a passion for ball sports and
sword fights. He used to barge into my office intermittently throughout the day,
usually dressed in the full regalia of his chosen theme for the day (from Michael
Jordan to Jack Sparrow) and beckon me to abandon whatever I was doing for a game
or adventure.
Though I would often resist in order to finish my important work, he would
eventually wear me down and before I knew it wed be out in the grass immersed in a
moment of pure play together. I began to notice that two things would happen
consistently Firstly, the sense of urgency around whatever serious work needed to
be done would almost always dissolve, leaving me with a sense of spaciousness and
fresh energy to enjoy the game and whatever happened after and secondly, often
within moments of letting go of my serious work challenge in order to play catch or
battle for treasure, a previously unseen idea or solution to whatever I was working on
would spontaneously bubble up into my consciousness. The act of playing was not
only wonderfully worth it for its own sake, it seemed to open up aspects and creative
capacities within myself (and Josh!) that flowed powerfully into other areas of life.
In our modern world where putting our game face on often means getting more
serious about an issue, the co-founder of the Elos Foundation, Edgard Gouveia Jnior
has won international attention for his unique approach to the power of play as a
vehicle for profound social, community and planetary change through such
initiatives as the Warriors Without Weapons program, Oasis Games and Play The Call.

Edgard Gouveia Jnior

In a recent conversation with UPLIFT, Edgard shared a glimpse into the challenges he
faced as a child growing up in a world out of balance, and the path of possibility that
opened as he discovered the gift of play as a doorway to making people shine.
I was a very sensitive kid and when I used to see sad things like visuals of kids
in Africa or Brazil who were facing hunger and real poverty I used to cry a lot.
So much that my family would literally jump in front of the TV to protect me
from seeing footage like this. One day, they were distracted and didnt realise that
I was watching a whole documentary about the Holocaust in Germany. I cried for
hours and after this I became very suspicious of humanity. I couldnt understand
how we could let this happen. Even more than the acts themselves, I couldnt
understand why other people wouldnt stand up and stop those situations from
Edgard shares how he began to see many situations like this on a small scale in day-today life around him where he grew up in Brazil. Kids living on the street, homeless
people and servant workers being poorly treated. But simultaneously he started to have
experiences of seeing the amazing side of humanity as well. I remember the first
time I sat on the ground and spoke to a homeless man and I realized homeless was
just a label. Here was an amazing man with such beautiful stories. I began to become
attracted to other moments where even when you dont expect it, humanity is amazing.
I discovered a lot about asking questions and listening. I noticed that when I
asked people to tell me about the most amazing story from their childhood, or the
most incredible people theyd met when people start sharing like that, they
shine. People can be sad or very troubled and with just a few questions something
different begins to show up.

This saved my life: To discover that humanity was not dangerous as long as I could
make them shine. People shining I was not afraid of.

Playing Gincana
Making a Game from Impossible Missions
Around this time (age nine), Edgard had his first experience of Gincana a traditional
Brazilian collective game, in which people in a community are divided into groups that
compete across a village or town, with challenging tasks to find specific objects or
information and express themselves collectively as a group.
Gincana is a special game because its based around nave, impossible missions.
For example you have teams of 4-500 people, all through the town gathered in the
big square and the game leader goes to the stage and says, OK. You have three
hours to bring me a real pink elephant. There are no elephants in Brazil. There
are no pink elephants anywhere. But the people dont care. They have to find a
collective way to find one. People try everything they can think of and maybe
finally someone finds a circus that has an elephant and they convince the owner
to bring the elephant.
Others find paint or pink flowers to cover the elephant and after three hours the
pink elephant is there in the square. The Gincana is all about drawing forth the
creative entrepreneurship of an entire town to solve impossible missions. When I
saw that for the first time as a kid, and I knew I had found a real solution to the
problems I was fearing.

Warriors without Weapons

When We Play, Our Best Self Emerges
As Edgard shares, The truth is we love impossible missions. We love to play and
make magic happen. If we are playing together we can do impossible things, in
impossible time and create the most amazing results.
What I could see very early is that when we are playing, the best version of
ourselves is there. The joy, collaboration, connection. And suddenly our surface
differences dont matter. Youre on my team and we have an impossible
mission So lets do it!
Translating the Power of Play into Positive Real World Action
In university, Edgard and his friends began challenging themselves to push the
boundaries of play into new arenas which lead them into slums, indigenous
communities and other places where people were facing big challenges and they
started using games to help discover previously unseen solutions and pathways to
realize community dreams. We might enter the heart of the slums of Brazil and say,
We have three days to build a kindergarten and were not allowed to use money.
Many people have no money so its not allowed. Just go and make it happen! As
people embrace the mission they begin to discover an amazing number of resources.
Wood, stones and workers of all kinds, coming to help for free simply because its a
game. Its not easy, but its not supposed to be easy. Its supposed to be a challenge.
Otherwise its not fun.
When fellow students galvanized around this approach, calling for training to be able
to bring the power of play to other places of need, Edgard and friends began framing
up a methodology and open source technology called Oasis Games, which is now
spreading all over the world, addressing goals challenges ranging from building
community gardens to supporting the sustainable reconstruction of Nepal.

European Oasis Gathering

Playing as a Pathway to Realising Dreams
In Edgards view, the basic goal of any Oasis Game is to make a community dream
come true. Not a trouble or a problem. It has to be a dream. Because when we achieve a
dream, we automatically solve many problems and issues. Just one dream solves a lot of
issues together So we address the dreams.
The first step of an Oasis Game we call The Gaze. Basically you have two hours to
find three manifestations of beauty and three manifestations of abundance. We
train our eyes not to see whats wrong, whats broken, whats ugly, but where is
the beauty? It may be found in a quiet walled garden or a stack of seashells on a
table. Simple things that mean something to people.
The second step is about Affection. After finding beauty, the next step is to
discover the stories behind the beauty. To spend time with the person and to learn
why is this beautiful garden here? Where did these shells come from? Who
planted this tree? The person begins to share how her grandmother used to spend
days in the garden and how the seeds have been shared between families and
how the shells and treasures have been collected throughout her life. When you
talk about something special and someone really listens, you want to share more
and in this space you begin to shine.
There are six steps in an Oasis Game The Gaze, Affect, Dream, Care, Miracle,
Celebration and Re-evolution each building upon the next, ultimately catalyzing
hands on action, inspired by the people, in ways they would often otherwise never
think to work together. The game may involve players from many different areas of
society, local government, nearby businesses and the community itself. The game was
conceived to be applied at no cost and in a fully cooperative way so that, together, all
participants can accomplish a common goal. The design of the Oasis Game strives to
allow all players to be winners, without exception.

We believe that every single human being is naturally a big flame and naturally
should be burning brightly. But many of us have shrunken our light and we are
just like a small flame. And many more of us are just an ember. And some of us
are like coal. But there is always a point of light in the stone. What we do with
Oasis is just go there and gently blow on the ember. The heat has to come from
inside of you. We just blow the flame so it can ignite itself.
When you meet someone who is aflame they are able to light up all the people
around them in any situation. Those people are so powerful. They change our
lives. The things we build and create in the Oasis Games are really just an excuse.
The real mission is to inflame humanity.
An Invitation to the Ultimate Game
Edgard and his team are now in the advanced piloting stage of a next level game
experience called Play The Call, with an aim of mobilizing two billion young people
over the next four years to come together and play for the ultimate mission save the
plant for real. Watch this space for updates and your invitation to PLAY!
If we can bring people back bring their flame back they can solve their family
and community challenges by themselves. When we do this on a global level,
there is nothing we cannot solve or create together.

Seven Beliefs
for Manifesting Real Magic

Blue lotus the story of lotus

Posted by hippiechic

Blue lotus
This is the symbol of the victory of the spirit over the senses, of intelligence and
wisdom, of knowledge. It is always represented as a partially opened bud, and (unlike
the red lotus) its centre is never seen. It is the lotus of Manjusri, and also one of the
attributes of Prajnaparamita, the embodiment of the 'perfection of wisdom'.

Week 1: The Story of the Lotus Flower

Given that The Awakened Heart Project is about helping you release your fears, to grow,
to discover, to learn and to awaken, the story of the lotus flower and its symbolism
seems like the perfect place to start this journey.
The lotus flower is a beautiful flower that can be found all over the world. But the start
of this flowers life is not as beautiful is one might image. Its unlike many other flowers.
When the lotus first begins to sprout, it is under water, making its home in lakes and
ponds in areas where the water remains fairly still on the surface. But underneath the
surface, the lotus is surrounded by mud and muck and by fish, by insects, and simply
dirty, rough conditions
Despite these conditions, the lotus flower maintains strength, and pushes aside each of
these dirty obstacles as it makes its way to clearer surfaces. At this time, the lotus is still
just a stem with only a few leaves, and a small flower pod. But in time, the stem
continues to grow, and the pod slowly surfaces above the water, into the clean air,
finally freeing itself from the harsh life conditions below. It is then that the lotus slowly
opens each beautiful petal to the sun, basking in the worldly beauty surrounding it. The
lotus flower is ready to take on the world. Despite being born into dark, murky
conditions, where hope for such beautiful life seems dubious, the lotus grows, rises
above adversity. Ironically, this same dirty water washes it clean as it surfaces. As the
lotus opens each petal to the air, not a stain or spot of mud remains externally. The inner
lotus too, has never seen a drop of mud or dirty water. It is pure, and bright, and

In Buddhism, the bud of the lotus symbolizes potential. The lotus flower represents an
awakening, spiritual growth, and enlightenment. Just as the lotus flower emerges from
the water clean, the lotus also represents purity of body, speech, and mind. The lotus
could be thought of as an awakened mind, which grows naturally toward the warmth
and light of truth, love and compassion. The lotus may appear fragile on the surface, but
it is flexible and strong, securely anchored under the surface of the water.
You dont need to be Buddhist to understand that we are all like the lotus flower. Many
of us live in that murky water, and never make it to the surface so we can blossom.
Many of us are close; we are just buds, ready and eager to feel the sunshine of life on
our skin. No matter which stage of life you are on, Im sure you can relate to this lotus
and see yourself in this story. The conditions that produce beautiful life are not always
ideal, but that never stops the lotus from rising through adversity, opening its petals,
and blossoming in the sun.
The lotus is the most beautiful flower, whose petals open one by one. But it will only
grow in the mud. In order to grow and gain wisdom, first you must have the mud the
obstacles of life and its suffering. The mud speaks of the common ground that
humans share, no matter what our stations in life. Whether we have it all or we have
nothing, we are all faced with the same obstacles: sadness, loss, illness, dying and death.
If we are to strive as human beings to gain more wisdom, more kindness and more
compassion, we must have the intention to grow as a lotus and open each petal one by

Spirit of Red Wolf

Spirit of the Red Wolf

Role: The Teacher
Lesson: Life, Death & Rebirth, Unexpected Change
Element: Fire
Wind: South Recalling the Child
Medicine: Creation's Flames
Keywords: Forced/Unexpected Change. Compassion. Transformation. Innocence.
Uniqueness. Creativity.
The Red Wolf stood upon the crest of the sun bleached hill, her eyes cast
across the valley spread out before her, searching, yearning to see
another, such as she. Yet none came.
Where had they all gone, her Brothers and Sisters? This valley had once
rung with their sweet music, washing across the rolling hills and
nestling into the dips of the valley like gentle ribbons of morning mist,
vibrant and alive. Now . . . the silence was thundering.
As she turned toward the setting sun, her eyes caught the sight of an
approaching wolf. Red Wolf`s noble heart leapt in joy. Then she noticed
this Wolf was unlike any she had seen before. The approaching figure
was larger than any other clan member she had known, and all about his
reddened fur, was a white light that glowed and pulsed like the fading
Then, as the Other One raised his head and called to her, she knew . . .
she was returning Home to where her Brothers and Sisters would greet
her with howls of ecstasy and joy.

Forced & Unexpected Change

The Red Wolf is now considered to be extinct in the wild, having been slaughtered by
humans and robbed of their natural resources by the encroaching spread of the twoleggeds.
In 1973, the US Fish & Wildlife Service garnered protection for the Red Wolf with the
passage of the Endangered Species Act. A captive breeding program was then
successfully initiated to bring back the Red Wolf from the brink of complete extinction,
and thus today, the population of Red Wolves has reached the near 300 mark. Perhaps
through the awareness of, and the due respect of this beautiful creature, we can prevent
what would be a tragic demise of a splendid and wise fellow inhabitant of Earth
It is said that at the door of each of the Four Winds, a wolf keeps silent vigil, each
bringing change to the life of those who walk the Good Red Road and with the change,
a lesson unique to that Wind.
The individual who has been blessed to have Red Wolf walk beside him/her as their
Totem, can expect a life blessed with abundant change and, hence, tremendous growth,
as this is the Wolf that stands at the Southern Gate.
Growth is often initiated for the Red Wolf with unexpected events catapulting the Red
Soul into action. She does not assess the change in logical, controlled movements; rather
she approaches these changes with instinctual timing and instantaneous decisions that
lead her exactly to where she needs to be.
If Red Wolf Soul can tap into her ability to elicit positive change and growth in this life,
then the full potential of her ability to Create Positive Change will be manifested.

The heart of the Red Wolf beats strong as he gazes into the eyes of the prone female,
listening to her faint cries and whimpers. His mate is dying, her physical form writhing
with the currents of pain that assault her and he, Alpha male of the last surviving wild
red wolf pack, is powerless to help his beloved.

Finally, the transition comes and he watches her form go still, watches as the air leaves
her lungs and her chest sinks back, then watches as the sparkling mist of energy leaves
the body and feels her as she moves through him on her way to the Blue Road of Spirit.
Sensing their pack leader`s grief, the other pack members gather beside him, eyes cast at
the lifeless body before them as they huddle close to comfort him with their presence.
Then, on some silent cue, they all raise their heads and sing a song of temporal parting
to a friend, and a song of comfort to the one left behind.
The individual with the Soul of Red Wolf is one who is profoundly compassionate,
sensitive to the pain of others and will do anything within their ability to alleviate
suffering. As such, these individuals will often be found in the healing professions,
either in terms of "medical professionals" or as energy/spiritual healers.
One of the greatest challenges of one who has Red Wolf Totem, is to learn that true
compassion comes from knowing when to assist another, and when to draw back
enough that the one they are assisting can walk the Path they have come into the
physical plane to fulfill.

Red Wolf trusts that all that which she needs will be available to her, be it the prey she
will eat to sustain her own life, or the shelter of the earth in which she makes her den.
She knows that Nature is Kind, Loving and Provides. She has belief based upon
experience that tells her her pack members will defend her if/when needed against
attack. She gives love and receives love with the acceptance of one who has known no
rejection, no judgment and no fear . . . she is the essence of Innocence.
Red Wolf Totem walks with one who operates from an innocent heart, and thus, the
individual blessed with this Totem is either born with an instinctual innocence, or they
have come into this lifetime with one of their key lessons being that of maintaining, or
re-kindling, innocence. This is where they facilitate their primary Role of Teacher, to
teach others the humbleness of Innocence, the gift of Belief and Trust. Yet in order for
the Teacher to impart his Knowledge and Wisdom, he must first walk through the
experience himself in full awareness and facing his own personal Truths.
To do so, and then embrace others, free of judgment for the betrayals that may have
gone before . . . to come back to himself with belief that all will be exactly as it is meant
to be, is the returning Home to Self, it is the Return to his own Innocence.

I Am Not a Special Victim

Posted by Madame Butterfly

(I hope someone finds what I have written below helpful.)

I have a family member who lies a lot...about me, about my husband, about everyone
and everything. She has lied to me, as well as told other people lies about me. For
years, I took it so personally, and I felt deeply wounded that someone that I had
treated with love and tenderness could do this to me. I even saw a counselor about this
I am now, thankfully, at the point where I feel neutral toward her and I no longer
harbor any hurt feelings or feelings of animosity. I have accepted that this is who she
is, and that if people choose to believe the lies she tells about me (which many people
do), then that is their issue.
I recently watched a video on youtube in which the speaker (Eckhart Tolle) addressed
this issue. Oh how I wish I had heard this years ago...I could have saved myself
countless days of misery. Basically, what he said is that if someone lies to you (or does
something else to you), they are doing it to other people, too. (In other words, you are
not special!) They are acting out of their own level of consciousness - it is not directed
at you.
This is/was so true about the family member I mentioned. She lies to everyone and
about everyone. I am not a special victim. A liar is who she is at this time in her life
(her particular level of consciousness), and accepting this fact has made me feel more
settled. I now even pray for blessings for this person and include her in my LovingKindness meditations, wishing her peace, safety, happiness, etc.

Giving Thought
Is appreciated work

With so much seemingly going on.. is some who are able to turn their blinders on and
others who try but cant help but be concerned, but at same time feel helpless and thus
knowing is not much they can do and for many reasons.. and some feel they have to be
right there and apart of it to help try to make change in a scenario or event.. as with so
much going on in the world that is impossible for us Humans to comply with.. as much
as many of us try and wish to.. and are those who turn blinders on because they seem
to have no choice with all going on in their own little world.. and for those here and in
the knowing , this is a reminder when you work in the direction of a positive future
and intention in your work.. the intention is there .. once you realize something has
occurred be it local or world wide.. Give it thought of prayers. concern, but don't feel
we are too depend on our higher ups to help correct matters and they realize is only so
much we can do we just need more people trying to give thought for change and not
hide from it all. Giving thought is a form of work. so once you have givin thought
recognition to an issue and wish the best then you should feel confident in atleast
making an attempt.. and I am sure most here try but are some I have seen that just
totally ignore anything outside their box.. their choice but again all it takes is giving
some kind of positive intented thought in it all.. no matter.. I am always giving thought
to things world wide and is why I am here so I am not like those speakers who preach
on ignoring other paradigms I feel that is self centered arrogance I am not here for me..
I am fine . so light a candle do whatever it is you do on any occasion as such as with
prayers or energy not just to the ill event but those around it.. some times can be
traumatic for them and they need everything they can get..
a thought is a form of work.. and helps one feel they are apart of trying to help change..
even if we don't see it suddenly don't give up on it. when we do we are denying the
higher sources or judging them to be inadequette by our impatience.. do not allow
yourself to fall into that mindset.. I understand completly why we do and why so many
have givin up . but maybe was a test for them as I have recognized every crack in the
thin ice and this is one.. so be mindful.. a Thought is all it is needed when it is all that
can be offered.. Take the helplessness away and give thought then becomes being
Empowered.. and greater for the energy for self and all.

How to Heal Yourself

by Talking to your Body

Your Cells are Listening

Every part of your body has its own consciousness or its own soul.
These transformative words, spoken by indigenous medicine women, began my
journey within to discover the extraordinary healing capacity of the human body.
When this perspective was introduced to me, I was suffering from a severe chronic
pain disorder. I suddenly imagined incorporating this concept into my meditation
I thought, can my body hear me can I talk to it to gain its cooperation in healing this
my body hear me?
The Path to Freedom
That night, after reaching a state of deep calm through meditation, I inwardly engaged
my body in a heartfelt conversation, with hope, but having no idea what to expect.
After about one hour of this focused communication, something amazing happened.
My tissues began to respond. Connective tissue pulled and stretched apart layers of
scar tissue. Nerves fired and my calf muscles began to perform flexion and extension
exercises independently of my conscious control.
As this response continued, one of my calf muscles that had become paralyzed by the
neuropathic condition diagnosed as Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy came back to
life as electric-like jolts shot through the area.
My heart pounded as I realized that the path to my freedom from this condition had
finally begun.
Nerves fired and my calf muscles began to perform independently of my conscious

Guidelines for Dynamic Healing

With a background in acupuncture and Oriental medicine, I knew too well how
prevalent chronic pain is in this country and I wondered what the implications of this
phenomenon could mean to so many others who were suffering.
As I continued to make progress with my condition, I organized my approach into a
system that I could teach to clients and shifted my professional focus to hypnotherapy.
When instructing my clients, I explain that a regular meditation practice is necessary
to train the brain to enter alpha and theta brain wave states. While in these states,
communication between the conscious mind and the physical body is dramatically
regular meditation practice is necessary to train the brain.
I have found that when communicating, there are three key steps to gaining the
cooperation of the body:
Approach your body with genuine compassion, understanding that it is made up
of conscious cells who experience emotions.
Build trust by engaging your body in mental conversations about your desire for
the two of you to cooperate and overcome the ailment.
Allow changes in the conversation by using different thoughts and words that
elicit spontaneous elevated emotions.
From my experience, the above guidelines are necessary to achieve dynamic healing
responses in the body.

The Force of human Intention
I recently came across a very similar set of factors that were discovered by researcher
Cleve Backster, who spent 36 years studying biocommunication in plant, animal and
human cells. He referred to these factors as real intent, attunement, and spontaneity.
Backster, formerly an interrogation specialist for the CIA, wrote about the defining
moment which led him to his real work in this world, in his book Primary Perception.
This moment occurred one February morning in 1966 when he decided to monitor the
Dracaena plant in his lab utilizing polygraph equipment.
Cleve Backstair spent 36 years studying biocommunication in plant, animal and human
He attached the electrodes to a leaf and began to think about ways that he might
induce a surge in electrical activity in the plant. In humans this surge in electrical
activity is associated with intense emotions.

He suddenly imagined burning the electroded leaf. The same instant this idea
entered his mind, the polygraph pen shot to the top of the chart showing an extreme
reaction on the part of the plant.
Amazed, he walked to his secretarys desk to retrieve a set of matches while
pondering the possibility that this plant was somehow detecting the force of human
plant reacted to the idea of being burnt.
Can Plants become Attuned to their Primary Care Takers?
When he returned with the matches, the plant was still showing the same high level
reaction which would interfere with tracking additional changes on the chart.
Backster decided to remove the threat by returning the matches to the desk.
At this point, the chart displayed a downward trend as the plant apparently began to
calm down. When Backster attempted to repeat the same results by pretending that
he was going to burn the plant, there was no reaction. The plant seemed to sense the
difference between real and artificial intent.
He eventually discovered that plants become attuned to their primary care takers,
responding to both their positive and negative emotions and to their return after
being away for a time. Chart findings also showed that plants prioritize the emotions
of their primary care takers over the emotions of others nearby.
Plants prioritize the emotions of their primary care takers over the emotions of others.
Signs of Consciousness
Backster later expanded his research to include testing human cells for signs of
He collected white blood cells from human donors, electroded them in a test tube and
then recorded the cells reactions as the donors experienced different emotional
states. He found that spontaneous emotions were necessary in order to elicit an
electrical reaction in the cells.
For instance, if a donor forced herself to feel an emotion, the cells would not respond.
However, when she received a distressing phone call from her daughter, the cells
reacted significantly.
He noted that distance seemed to be irrelevant in these experiments. For example, a
donor left his electroded cells behind in the lab, then kept a detailed log of any
stressful emotions experienced on his trip home to another state, such as missing a
turn on the freeway, standing in a long line at the airport, and the take-off of his
Later, his logged incidents compared with the chart recording showed strong
correlations between the timing of the stressful events and the electrical reactions in
his cells. The chart became quiet again when he arrived home and went to sleep.

Spontaneous emotions were necessary in order to elicit an electrical reaction in the cells.
Raw Creative Healing Ability
These experiments were conducted while using equipment that screened out
electromagnetic radiation the usual energies used for information transmission.
The cells behaved as if the screens werent there, suggesting that this communication
is carried by a field still unidentified by conventional science.
Some scientists believe that the further development of quantum physics may help
guide us to understand this field that communicates emotional intent between living
things Quantum Entanglement is a process where two particles of matter which have
interacted with each other, still behave as if they are connected after being separated
by many miles.
When an energetic change is made to the properties (position, momentum and
rotational spin) of one of the particles, the properties of the other distant particle will
change at the same instant.
Quantum Entanglement two particles of matter still behave as if they are connected.
This scientific phenomenon and the research of Cleve Backster, point to the Eastern
concept of oneness the view that all of nature is interdependent. Ancient cultures
understood this interconnection as a living universal energy field that sustains life
while guiding the evolution of consciousness throughout the universe.
The meditation techniques involved in my practice bring the mind into attunement
with this field. Energy from this field is then focused into a physical healing event
through clear intention delivered by means of a conversation that evokes
spontaneous emotions and attunes the physical body to the conscious mind.
This method which I call Antara (Sanskrit for within), enables one to experience the
raw creative healing ability generated by an alliance of the mind and body with this
living universal energy field.
