 US company, Scribd released a service named "Scribd" in which documents can be shared on the Internet in 2007.

 に変換され、簡単に閲覧できるうえ、ブログに埋め込むことも可能だ。
 Documents which have been uploaded to
Scribd
 are instantaneously converted into Flash content, and are able to be viewed easily. Users can embed them in to their Blogs as well.
その簡単便利な使い勝手と共有サービスであることから、

と言われる。
 "Scribd" is called "Document version YouTube" because of the easy and convenient usability and its nature of contents sharing.

米国でも「スクライブド」と発音する人もいますが「スクリブド」と読んでください。
 Please pronounce it "[skribd]" though there are people who pronounce it "[skraibd]"in
 
the United States.
なぜこのサービスを作ろうと思ったのかから、教えてください。
 Why did you intend to make this service?  Adler

 Mr. Adler:
私の父は外科医なのですが、父が専門書を出版するのを見て大変そうだなと思っていました。オンラインならばもっと簡単にできるのに、と思ったのです。
 I saw that my father who was a surgeon faced difficulty to publish medical books and thought it was easier to publish
on line
.
父だけではなく、祖母の料理のレシピや学校のプリントなどもパブリッシュできるようになれば、もっともっと多くの人たちが便利になるだろうと思いました。
 I thought that it became more convenient for not only father but also more people if grandmother and everyone can publish her recipe and a handout of the school on line. Scribd
