Parents:
Did you know Food and Nutrition Services is a special revenue fund that does not receive General Fund
Support? As a result, we must balance our budget through meal sales, snack sales and State/Federal
Reimbursements.
The school district has a no charging policy at the Middle Schools. If charges go unpaid, our ability to purchase
food, pay employee salaries and other expenses, is reduced.
Pre-payment is encouraged on your child's account. The amount will be put into your child's account. When
your child goes through the line his/her account will be debited.

For your convenience credit card charges can be made by online, simply log on to
www.brentwood.k12.ca.us/foods and click on Q-ParentConnection link . You can make payments and view your
childs account balance anytime.
You can pay by cash or check in the cafeteria.

If your child owes money at the start of the school year, this was a debt from the prior year. Please pay this bill
promptly so you child can eat in the cafeteria. You may also designate that your child can never charge and we will
record that request on the account.
Remember that you may have applied for free or reduced price meals and have a pending application but you must
pay for all school meals until your receive an approval letter. You can go to Food Service web page at
www.brentwood.k12.ca.us/foods to fill out an application online
its faster and easier or pick one up
at the school site.
