Overview:

This is an exciting opportunity to work as database administrator with some cutting edge
technologies in a highly collaborative team that is focused on providing the highest level of service
to both our internal and external customers. Develop or implement new technologies to meet
business requirements.

Responsibilities:

This position will be responsible for availability, integrity, security as well as performance
management of various Oracle database systems. The position also requires participation in an
on-call rotation with 24/7 support. Additional responsibilities include planning, development and
troubleshooting various database and application technologies. Excellent written and verbal
communication with strong personal skills is a must.

Qualifications:

Bachelors in Computer Science, related field or equivalent experience

5+ Years in maintaining Oracle production OLTP databases or other Enterprise

relational database management system

Experience with RMAN backup and recovery policies and procedures

Experience with installing, maintaining Oracle Server databases.

Proficiency in SQL and PL/SQL programming

Proficient in Linux/Unix Shell scripting

Ability to adapt to changing requirements and priorities

Willing to adjust work schedule as needed

Production experience working in large OLTP 24/7 environment

Problem solving skills are critical, must be proficient troubleshooting production

issues

Must work well in a collaborative team environment with limited supervision

Strong aptitude and willingness to learn and master new technologies.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Preferred:

3+ years of experience with Oracle 10g, 11g, 11gR2 RAC using ASM

Experience working with Oracle e-Business Suite Release 12

Install and maintain Oracle Streams

Install and maintain Oracle Application Express (APEX)

Working knowledge of database and application cloning

Experience with or desire to become proficient in other database technologies

including PostSQL and Sybase.
