AP Physics C Summer 2016

Be sure you check out the textbook before you leave school at the end
of the year. It is Physics for Scientists and Engineers, 6th Edition, by
Serway and Jewett.
Be sure you sign up for my Moodle site for AP Physics. The site is called
AP Physics C: Danette Bull, and the enrollment key is APMillie.
I also have a Remind.com class set up for AP Physics C 2016-17. In your
cell phone dial in the number 81010 and type in this exact text message:
@8d662e
If youve ever used Remind.com before, you know this is a one-way
texting service. I can send texts to you if you join the class, but you
cannot text me. I will use this service to send class updates or
important notifications.
In AP Physics C, we need to cover A LOT of material in what seems to be
not enough time. Because of this, you need to start your preparation
for class over the summer. You are responsible for learning Chapters 1-4
more or less on your own. We will have a VERY brief review of this
material on the first day or two of class, and your first major test will
cover material in Chapters 1-4 and will take place by about the third day
of class.
The homework problems listed below are MANDATORY for summer work.
They will be collected on the first day of class, and will be your first 40
points in the gradebook! In order to get credit for this assignment, you
must do all of the problems and show all of your work!
Chapter 1: 3, 4, 5, 6, 11, 17, 19, 22, 23, 27, 29, 31, 32, 39
Chapter 2: 2, 3, 5, 7, 9, 11, 12, 14, 15, 16, 19, 20, 21, 25, 26, 29, 31, 37, 38, 43,

Chapter 3: 1, 3, 7, 18, 21, 22, 24, 31, 32, 36, 39, 40, 43, 49
