Miami Southridge Senior High

Just like their
school mascot,
the Southridge
Spartans are as
tough of a football team as any
in the county.
Southridge
shocked the 168A district by
beating South
Dade and earning their way to
a playoff spot,
but their playoff
hopes were cut
short with a loss
to Belen in the
first round of the
playoffs.
The Spartans

is no different.” Coach Rolle explained.
Often times with first year head coaches,
expectations are set low in order for the
coach to get their feet wet. In the case of
a state champion coach, Rolle is already
setting the bar high for his new team.
“A district championship, they made it
to the first round of the playoffs and lost.
A district championship would be nice,
but it’s all about the playoffs. I think making the playoffs for the second year in a
row would be a great accomplishment for
this team.” said when asked what his
team’s goals were this season.
In one of the toughest districts in the
county, Southridge is hoping to be one of
the strongest contenders and has the talent
to be one, it’s all about the puzzle pieces
falling into place for them.
