Today I met with Rebecca (Regional Housing Manager) and Paul (Director of
Housing). I sat in on a meeting with our property manager concerning the
age of the property and our budget. The budget is secure, but several units
have needed appliances and HVAC units to be replaced in the last few
months. We are to ensure that there is enough money to begin replacing
appliances for the next five years. I also had to discuss the biggest issue on
the property from a social services standpoint. I had to think of how the
issue of a lack of nutritional food for our elderly residents can be solved. We
devised a plan to contact the local food bank and see if our property can be a
drop off point. Then our residents can have access to the different types of
goods.

I received my log in code to review the results of the resident survey for all of
the properties. My new project for the next few weeks will be to
communicate with the property managers for properties that have low
response numbers and write improvement plans for each properties three
areas of weakness. I also had to attend a training on how to use the software
to analyze the results. I have noticed that I am slowly becoming more
comfortable with the additional responsibilities. I am also learning how to
deal with the additional responsibilities and deal with my stress. I am also
learning more time management skills.

Today was filled with more analysis of the score and results from the surveys.
I have to go through each property in NC and SC so this will be a lengthy
task. The goal is to address the properties that had less than 70%
participation and make suggestions and find out why the numbers were so
low. I also had a brief meeting with my supervisor concerning the results and
set up a meeting time for Monday morning. The RHM II was moved to
another position so many of the upcoming tasks she has planned for me will
be to lessen the load on herself since she is down an employee. While I dont
mind the learning experience, I do not want to be overloaded since I still
have my residents to serve and have service plans and assessments to
conduct in the meantime.
