MONDAYEVANGELISTIC PRAYER
Chronological Bible Reading: Psalm 115-117; 1 Corinthians 15

WEDNESDAYREVIVAL PRAYING
Chronological Bible Reading: Psalm 121-123; 2 Corinthians 1
Wednesday, August 24
Luke 6:10 And looking round about upon them all, he said unto the man, Stretch
forth thy hand. And he did so: and his hand was restored whole as the other.
Rom. 13:13 Let us walk honestly, as in the day; not in rioting and drunkenness, not in
chambering and wantonness, not in strife and envying.
Gracious Father:
Already I have been assaulted by the enemy! Already a breakout of my
corruptions. Already an attack from the world. Sometimes my foes seem to be
found in my own household. In my own neighborhood. At my own office. They
wound me deeply in my own home.
Before I get up from here I better put on my breastplate! I better take up
my shield. I am never safe unless I am protected from head to foot by your grace!
In a world like this, I do not know what might be around the corner. So,
Matt. 6:13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil:
The battle rages on all sides, my Savior. I need protection,
2 Cor. 6:7 By the word of truth, by the power of God, by the armour of righteousness on
the right hand and on the left,
And I need not only armor, but the type suited to my style of battle, and
adaptable to this kind of mission. Dress my soul for service! Clothe me to be
ready whatever may come. Do not let me be too dressed-up to do any work. It is
morning. Clothe me to do your bidding today.
Jer. 1:17 Thou therefore gird up thy loins, and arise, and speak unto them all that I
command thee: be not dismayed at their faces, lest I confound thee before them.
There is work to do that angels envy me for being able to accomplish. The
directions are explicit about how I must march. Honestly means decently, walking
as in daylight. That is the most fitting outfit. Help me walk as one who has the
eye of God on me, because
Gen. 16:13 Thou God seest me:
2 Cor. 10:5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself
against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of
Christ;
Heb. 11:23 Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is
faithful that promised;)
CROWN Him with many crowns, the Lamb upon His throne.
Hark! How the heavenly anthem drowns all music but its own.
Awake, my soul, and sing of Him who died for thee,
And hail Him as thy matchless King through all eternity.
Crown Him the Lord of life, who triumphed over the grave,
And rose victorious in the strife for those He came to save.
His glories now we sing, who died, and rose on high,
Who died eternal life to bring, and lives that death may die.
Crown Him the Lord of love, behold His hands and side,
Those wounds, yet visible above, in beauty glorified.
No angel in the sky can fully bear that sight,
But downward bends his burning eye at mysteries so bright.
Crown Him the Lord of lords, who over all doth reign,
Who once on earth, the incarnate Word, for ransomed sinners slain,
Now lives in realms of light, where saints with angels sing
Their songs before Him day and night, their God, Redeemer, King.
1 Sam 12:23 Moreover as for me, God forbid that I should sin against the Lord in
ceasing to pray for you: but I will teach you the good and the right way:
Psa. 112:1 Praise ye the LORD. Blessed is the man that feareth the LORD, that
delighteth greatly in his commandments.
Make this a good school year, where they can see students who struggle
become proficient; students who are hurting find strength in the knowledge they
gain, and the wisdom they acquire.
Give these workers in wisdom, these purveyors of life principles academic
insight, professional competency, and safety. Help us support them, and lift them
up before you this year as they strive to be the models of mature adulthood, and
the examples of integrity.
Father, we pray for our students, for their growth and development in
grace, and in the knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ. We pray for every
homeschooled child as well, those like Simone Biles and Gabby Douglas, who
showed us just what a homeschooled kid can do.
We pray that you would protect us this year. Please Sir, keep us from
tragedy, accident, injury or disease. Let every student and teacher who starts this
school year finish it together in tandem with their classmates and peers.
And for this we will give you all the glory and thanks in Jesus name. Amen.

HARVEST BAPTIST CHURCH PRAYER DIARY SUNDAY MORNING SERVICE TIMES 8:00, 9:00 & 11:00A.M.
1)
PRAYER DIARY
TIMEWORSHIP
Mark 1:35 And in the morning, rising up a great while before day, he went out, and
departed into a solitary place, and there prayed.
GIVE GOD THE FIRST PART OF EVERY DAY. The first commitment is
to a daily quiet time with God. Our weekly Prayer Diary provides a template for daily
devotions.
2)
TITHEWORK
1 Cor 16:2 Upon the first day of the week let every one of you lay by him in store, as God
hath prospered him, that there be no gatherings when I come.
GIVE GOD THE FIRST DIME OF EVERY DOLLARno questions
asked. Ten percent is a miniscule amount in our affluent society, but it must come
off the top in order to show that God is our priority. We want the blessing of the
firstfruits (first devotion, first dime and first day) to flow out to the rest of our
resources.
3)
TEAMWORD
Heb 10:25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is;
but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.
GIVE GOD THE FIRST DAY OF EVERY WEEK. You should fellowship
with a group of believers around the word of God every Sunday in our church.
TODAY

INSTRUCTIONS:
Baptists tend to ridicule liturgical churches that use "prepared prayers" because
they lack spontaneity. But for many Baptists, their prayers are so predictable they are
no more spontaneous than written-out prayers. The result is we end up praying the
same things over and over.
This daily Prayer Diary will prompt you on a wide range of prayer requests you
might not normally think of, while forcing you to articulate a deeper devotion to
God. We have included a daily Bible reading schedule. This plan will take you
through the Bible chronologically in a year.
Do not read ahead and do not try to catch up. Use each day as it comes. Then
you can know that on any given day, dozens of other people are lifting their hearts in
the same mind to God. Pray what is written, but use what is prayed as a springboard
for your own relationship with God. You learn to pray by praying.
Alan
Secret prayer is the secret of prayer, the soul of prayer, the seal of prayer, the
strength of prayer. If you do not pray alone you do not pray at all. Our Lord Jesus
Christ would go nowhere till He had prayed. He would attempt nothing till He had
prayed.
Oh, says one, I live in the spirit of prayer, and therefore I do not need times
and seasons for prayer. And do you think that Christ did not live in the spirit of
prayer? Yet He had to have his special time and place to pray. Do not fall under the
injurious notion that because your spirit cries to God in prayer all day long, therefore
there must not be some season for more immediately coming into Gods presence. If
you imagine this, I am afraid that it will prove a snare to your feet. The Lord Jesus
Christ, who knew better than you do that the main thing is the spirit of prayer rather
than the act of prayer, yet Himself retired into desert places to maintain the act and
exercise of prayer. Be spiritual. Be baptized into the spirit of prayer. But do not be
deceived by the enemy, who can steal a spirit away while we dream that we only
spiritualize it. We had better preserve the very bones of prayerthe posture, the
time, placerather than let it all ooze away into an impalpable mental condition.
God keep us prayerful. He will do so if He makes us like His dear Son.
Charles H. Spurgeon, 1834-92
