DEDICATION

I dedicate this book to God the father,

God the son and God the Holy Spirit.

To the husband you are going to bless

me with and the wonderful children you
are going to give to me. AMEN

3
Seeing the title of this book, what
will first come to our mind is an old
popular song that has been sung by
people and is still being sung by
people of different languages all over
the world. The song says;

Abrahams` blessings are mine,

Abrahams` blessings are mine,
I am blessed in the morning,
I am blessed in the evening,
Abrahams` blessings are mine.

The Word of God is filled

with different characters of people,
that enjoyed manifold blessings from
God almighty, but none surpassed that
of Abraham. Abraham was a man that
enjoyed Gods manifold blessings to the
extreme even after death, he went to
Heaven and till today he’s there with
our father enjoying the goodness of
God.

4
Apart from that we as Abrahams`
descendants, we are taking our share of
the blessings God bestowed upon Abraham
while he was still in this world.

The blessings God has in

store for his children is not to be
enjoyed alone in this world(while we
are still flesh and blood) but also to
continue living in his goodness after
death( having become immortal like him)
in heaven.

Are Abrahams` blessings really ours

today as we claim?

Let’s search our lives, are we really

receiving the blessings we ought to
receive from God, in what ways and if
not why?

What are the blessings we need, not

wants this time around…..l mean those
things we need to be blessed with?

5
What are we doing that is not allowing
Abrahams` blessings to be ours
completely?

What about our own blessings, why are

we not receiving it?

Is it full, partial or nothing at all?

What do we need to do to receive our

own blessings and who are we really
asking for the blessings?

Some of these blessings reveal

themselves when we were born, some
during our growing up years and others
at one point or the other of our
lifetime….all without our asking.

What do you think of a FATHER, our GOD

that sent His only begotten son, to die
for us on the cross of Calvary for our
sins, 2000 years ago…sins of people yet
unborn….can you imagine that.
God formed us, molded us, gave us life,
he knows us all by our names, he
organized our destinies. He knows all
6
our needs, thoughts and everything we
could ever need and he in his greatness
has all in stock for us all. He has
them all to give to us all and no other
creature.

And then we all get to one stage or the

other in our lives and it seemed things
i.e. the blessings are not coming
automatically as they used to be and we
begin to wonder why.

However, l believe God does not want

anything else to take his place in our
lives and he wants us to place true
value on whatever thing he blesses us
with, he does not want us to become
spoilt children that has instant access
to all things at his or her singular
bidding.
Hence the need for us to get qualified
to be able to reach down into the
package of goodies God has for every
one of us.
I personally believe that most
of the so claimed blessings we’re
enjoying in our lives today, or our old
parents has enjoyed is just, maybe 0.1%
7
of what God actually had in store for
us or them. He said that the thoughts
he has for us is of good and not of
evil, to bring us all to our expected
end….Jeremiah 29;11.

God has wonderful things in store for

us and his expectations are far greater
than what we expect our lives and end
to be. Abraham never enjoyed partial
blessings from God while we do and we
still sing Abrahams blessings are mine.

We are daily plagued by pains, sorrows,

ailments and failures and yet we sing
Abrahams` blessings are mine. We call
on God in time of need and he answers
us only to disobey him later on,
following in our own ways and leadings.
When he calls us to do his biddings
even for ourselves or for our
neighbors, we refuse to hear him not to
talk of answering him, thereby giving
flimsy excuses, taking him for granted
and yet we still sing Abrahams
blessings are mine.

8
God will always be God and he can never
be like man. Going back to the creation
story, he molded us, formed us and gave
us the breath of life. This
automatically shows that we have to be
subjected to him at all times more than
when we are subject to our earthly
parents…….but not as slaves but as
children, friends, lovers, colleagues.

Someone we are, and will always be

close to, relate and talk to, someone
who is always willing and waiting to
receive all our problems and solve. He
doesn’t want us to have problems but
when we do (as we are in this world and
the world is full of evil from the
hearts of men) he is ever ready to help
us out and deliver us from them all.

WHO IS ABRAM?

We really need to study in depth and

examine, the life of Abraham as was
written in the Bible should we continue
to claim his blessings in vain and not
making sure we observe his lifestyle
9
and live according to the leadings of
the spirit of God as he did. Abraham
was one of our most extremely
successful forefather that lived and
overcame this world to live eternally.

Abraham was a man, conceived, born

flesh and blood just like every one of
us in this world. Terah was Abrams`
father and Abram was born when Terah
was 70 years old…..Gen 11; 26. In this
life, God our father and molder has
given and still has in store so many
blessings unfathomable. His warehouse
is still filled to the brim with
manifold blessings which ranges all
over everything we would ever need in
this world.

Abraham was an ordinary man just like

every one of us, born and bred in
lesser circumstances than what we have
in the world now. He didn’t have access
to most of the good things we now have
access to ……civilization,
socialization, amenities.…e.t.c. but l
am well convinced within myself that
despite that, he really enjoyed much
10
more blessings than what we think we
are enjoying today and l can say that
he was a man with the greatest
opportunity (to walk with God).

He knew God and God knew him, he

avoided all forms of Delilahs and
associated with the Deborah, he made
every Caleb his companion, he
understood the word of God and he
became outstanding in the world.

I can say he was an imperfect being,

made perfect all because he utilized
the opportunity he had to the fullest.
I believe before God called him, he
made himself available, he was right,
at the right place and at the right
time.

Abram was a man that survived the

6 main events of life. The six main
events of human life are;

1. LIFE.
2. DEATH.
3. DESTINATION.
4. RESURECTION.
11
5. REPAYMENT.
6. ETERNITY.

Abram had a life just like every one

of us in the world and he lived his
life to the fullest, he enjoyed life to
the fullest, not in the aspect of
womanizing, drinking sprees or
gallivanting around but he lived it to
the fullest in the will of God.
He had the most interesting
relationship in life that even paid him
well, in life after death. He tasted
death the ultimate penalty without
fear, knowing fully well where he was
going. He knew he was going to be in
heaven with God the father one on one.
He rose up to receive the new body
forsaking the flesh and blood. l
believe when one dies he or she must
rise up, you must resurrect to be
paid , you must receive your
compensation for how you lived your
life while on earth……or maybe l should
use the word JUDGEMENT.

12
Abram was judged and he was compensated
for being who he was on earth. He
received his full compensation and that
gave him the right to live eternally in
paradise with God the father himself.
What do you think? He made the best
choice in this life.

What choices are you making or trying

to make? So think about it again, what
are you thinking of concerning Abrahams
blessings being yours and what about
your own blessings?

You are not Abraham…..seek your own

blessings. When we sing Abrahams
blessings are mine, it most importantly
was saying Abraham made it in life and
after death, so we should make it in
this life and to heaven too.

ABRAHAMS QUALITIES.
There are definitely somethings
that Abram did that made God bless him
like that. Imagine even his generations
yet unborn. This is awesome. l wouldn’t
13
say he was a perfect human being but he
was near perfection. However, come to
think of it don’t we all human beings
like Abram deserve such blessings too?

Now let’s all sit back and meditate on

those qualities that Abraham possessed
that made God to bless him like that.

Those qualities include;

.
1. Christian.
2. Listening ear.
3. Obedience.
4. Willingness.
5. Faithfulness.
6. Trustworthy.
7. Hardworking.

CHRISTIAN.

Abraham was a Christian…a true one

that was filled with the spirit of God.
Being a Christian simply means a
follower of Christ……imitating Christ, a
disciple, believer and a saint. He was
14
very much unlike most of the self-
proclaimed “Christians” in the world we
have now. He lived his life according
to the leadings of God almighty. His
commandments and directions hence he
was able to be at the right place at
the right time when God called him.
This is the most important quality he
had, and this opened so many
uncountable doors for him.
He had the word of God in him and he
became outstanding in the whole wide
world. He was an ordinary man held by a
supernatural strength.

LISTENING EAR.

He that has an ear let him ear and

yield to what the spirit is saying.
Matthew 11;15.This verse clearly tells
us that though we all have ears to
hear, we don’t all hear, not to talk of
listening. Abram being a man filled
with the spirit of God, heard God when
he called out to him and he listened to
him, to what he wanted to say i.e. he
was wide awake, God did not repeat
15
himself to him twice. God spoke once
and he heard all he said and realized
all he wanted him to do.

OBEDIENCE.

Obedience is also a very powerful

quality one must possess to receive
from God……His word says if ye be
willing and obedient, ye shall eat the
fruit of the land. Isaiah 1;19. The
land can be compared to the storehouse
of God, it’s filled with so many
fruits, blessings in disguise, that
will never reveal itself out to us but
we must dig in, search inside to
retrieve our blessings. We only need to
do one thing and that is to obey and
all of it and much more shall be
supernaturally revealed to us.

By one mans disobedience sin entered

into this world…thereby originating our
suffering, and also by one mans
complete obedience we are redeemed back
to God. The most important step that
Abram took that brought him to this
16
glorious end was his obedience. Abram
was completely obedient to God

WILLINGNESS.

Abram was very much willing, always

willing to be and do as God instructs.
The bible never recorded anywhere he
was reluctant to do an assignment even
at the point of sacrificing his only
son……He was the only man who believed
and acted that everything he is, he has
and will ever have belongs to God. Now
tell me why God wouldn’t open the
storehouses of heaven for him and his
descendants, why wouldn’t God bless him
to the extent that all his generations
(hundreds of generations) are supposed
to take their shares in it. He never
for once questioned God on any
occasion, God speaks, he listens and
acts.

But hence, the only mistake he ever

made in his life involved the birth of
Ishmael, He did not ask or seek the
17
counsel of God concerning the issue
before acting it out and God did not
even account it to him as a mistake.

God still went ahead to bless his son

Ishmael as a result of his
faithfulness.

FAITHFULNESS & TRUST

l believe that for God to hand over

some great responsibilities to Abram,
that means he trusts him. Abram trusted
God for his promises and God also
trusted him greatly to carry out the
responsibilities he delegated to him.
This quality is the most paramount of
all qualities; the most important thing
you need to have to be able to walk
with God. You can’t walk or even talk
to God without having faith and then
trust in him.
He is an invisible being, we human
beings most times finds it difficult
to trust our fellow human beings which
18
we see day to day, how much more our
heavenly father we have never seen but
we continue to see the works of his
hands. However our God is now saying
for Abrahams blessings to be ours we
must have faith and then trust in him
completely.

There are so many wonderful things God

wants to bless us with, things eyes
have not seen; things ears have not
heard i. e supernatural things despite
the fact that there’s nothing new
underneath the sun. So forget about
imagining anything because it’s
definitely going to be unimaginable
i.e. beyond human comprehension.

Abram trusted and believed in God

completely and it was credited to him
as righteousness.
