COMPANY OVERVIEW
Central Highlands Water (CHW) is a Regional Water Corporation based in Ballarat and delivers
essential and sustainable water and wastewater services for a regional population of approximately
130,000.
CHW provides fully integrated water services, in a true 'catchment-to-tap-to-catchment' approach. This
involves the collection and storage of water, filtration and disinfection, delivery of water, and collection
and treatment of wastewater including the beneficial use of recycled water.

PRIMARY ROLE OF POSITION
The primary focus of the Mechanical / Electrical Maintenance Planning Officer is to plan, develop and
monitor the delivery of preventative maintenance programs that align with CHWs asset management
strategies. Ensure procedures enable optimal delivery.

The Mechanical/Electrical Maintenance Planning Officer role operates within the Network Field
Services Delivery Team and will be required to make decisions appropriate to the level of
responsibility and activities of this position.

Prepare preventative maintenance plans for the network mechanical and electrical assets
In consultation with WTP and WWTP operators, prepare preventative maintenance plans for
CHW operated treatment plants.
Prepare job plans for complex works in consultation with the Manager Network Field Services.
Development of audit schedules for plant and equipment safety and adherence to work
procedures.
Maintain records of all shutdown plans, and job plans.
Preparation of training schedules for the mechanical and the electrical maintenance officers.
Maintain risk register for maintenance delivery work group.
Provide regular reports, including all audit findings and results.
Monitor and report on actions arising from audit processes.
Participate in out-of-office hours roster as required.
