Here is my personal list of the 30 most important Dativ verbs:

applaudieren to applaud: Das Publikum
applaudiert dem Schauspieler. The audience applauds the actor.

Words ending in Reiniger (cleaner) take the masculine form (der).

Words ending in Mittel (means) take the neuter form (das).
