DNS), IPv6 fundamentals and transition from IPv4 to IPv6, Internet
networking including unicast and multicast, autonomous systems and
BGP routing, main Internet services (Web, Email, FTP), as well as
governance of Internet. Further, the course will incorporate broadband
Internet access, including fixed broadband access such as copper-based
(VDSL, ADSL, DOCSIS over cable) and optical access (G-PON, B-PON,
E-PON, and NG-PON), mobile broadband access (3G, 4G, and road to
5G), business aspects as well as regulation of broadband Internet
access. Also, it will cover broadband Internet services, including Next
Generation Networks (NGN) and its Quality of Service (QoS) framework,
IMS-based NGN VoIP and IPTV, Internet of Things (IoT) framework,
cloud computing standardization by ITU and cloud service models (IaaS,
SaaS, PaaS, NaaS, Caas), OTT video streaming (Youtube, Netflix), voice
OTT services (Skype, Viber), social networking OTT services (Facebook,
Twitter), as well as business and regulation aspects. Finally, the course
will incorporate Future Networks (FN) standardization by ITU, including
network virtualization, energy saving in FN, Software Defined Networking
(SDN), smart traffic, security issues, M2M architectures and services,
