Survey Methodology

:
Data for these questions were collected via Barna Group’s quarterly Pastor PollSM, a shared-cost
omnibus online survey of church leaders. A total of 513 Protestant senior pastors (30%
Mainline and 70% Non-mainline) and 88 Catholic priests were recruited to participate in this
research study.
The online survey was conducted December 15, 2015 – January 8, 2016. Protestant church
leader data were weighted by denominational affiliation, church size, and region of the country,
while Catholic data were not weighted.
