Assignments and Exams:

Please upload your completed homework assignments on Blackboard. There will be a penalty for late submissions.
If you are not able to take an exam on the scheduled data and time, please notify me at least 24 hrs in advance. An
unexcused absence in a test will result in no grade unless accompanied by a physicians note.
Contribution of Course to Meeting the Professional Component:
This course develops the ability to apply knowledge of mathematics, science and engineering, improves the students design
skills, develops the ability to identify, formulate and solve engineering problems, and helps students recognize the need for,
and develop the ability to engage in life-long learning.
Relationship of Course to Program Outcomes:
This course introduces students to the first and second laws of thermodynamics and shows how to apply the two laws.
Students also learn the principles of vaporliquid and reaction equilibria. Some practical applications of the topics are
included.
Disability Accommodations:
If you need accommodations in this course because of a disability, if you have emergency medical information to share
with me, or if you need special arrangements in case the building must be evacuated, please see me in my office as soon
as possible.
