Annual General Meeting 2016
The following have been re-elected to the AWHS
committee for 2016-2017:

Dawn Moffatt raised $282 this past year from the
Trading Table department, which includes the everpopular book raffles. Well done again, Dawn!
We had a presentation at the meeting from Robin Gee
about the near-future for the iconic Hollywood Cinema
here in Avondale. It is apparently being developed
and restored, and may open again soon for events,
along with the adjacent old Public Hall.

Explore “Streets Through Time” from Walsall Street
to the Avondale Roundabout.
Share your unique stories that celebrate our heritage
through the decades, with a focus on the changing
landscape and personalities.
Recall memories of the way things were in your time.
We want to hear your story. Families you knew. Businesses you knew. Landmarks that were important to
you. Your modes of transport that were but are no
longer. Your past!
Contribute to our visual Storyboard and view our
Heritage Photograph Exhibition. We want to create a

few years ago.
