War is generally characterized by extreme aggression and destruction leading to
high mortality rates. War is peace, freedom is slavery, and ignorance is strength.
Reading this quote makes you wonder why wouldnt war create peace if peace is war
and without peace there is war and without war there is peace? This quote tells us that
we need ignorance to gain strength, slavery to earn freedom and most importantly war to
create peace. How do you tell the difference between war and peace if youre always at
war and vice versa. To create peace is to create a counter force that is equal or stronger
than the opposing. (Introduction)
Israels six-day war also known as the June war took place June 5-10, 1967.
Israel was surrounded by Arab countries whose goal was to eliminate Israel, instead of
waiting to be attacked, Israel did the opposite by attacking its enemies, it was through
this that they won the war in six days. In December 1994, an Air France jet was hijacked
by terrorists who issued an ultimatum that if Israel does not negotiate, they would kill all
the hostages. Instead of negotiating, Israel sent its military to rescue the hostages in
Entebbe, all hostages were rescued and all the terrorists were killed. (Evidence)
In World War II, If France and Britain honored their commitment to use military
action against Hitler and if they had stood up to Hitler when he invaded Poland on
September 1, 1939, the Nazis aggression would have been checked. Although Britain
and France declared war on Germany on September 3, Poland fell and Hitler invaded
other European countries, if Britain and France did not hesitate to use military force to
deal with Germany, WWII could have been prevented because Hitler saw that they were
not willing to use military force against him, he proceeded to invade the other European
countries and occupied them.
Violence can lead to peace and wars can prevent other wars. Armed conflicts
emphasizes the wrongdoing of a specific person or group .War teaches people lessons
that they cant learn any other way, that forgiveness leads to peace. (Conclusion)
