1) Before switching on the power of instrument :


It should properly clean before start.
It should compile with all accessories which need for measurement and
calibration
Proper temperature should maintain in std. room
Instrument is free from vibration while measurement to ensure perfection in
measurement
Proper skill and knowledge of the instrument is entertaining.
2) After power on TRIMOS :
Turn on computer.
Open Win DHI named icon.

Move the measuring slide towards the reference location block which enables
the feedback of position sensor of slide to the on screen scale.

3) Calibration verification :
Release measuring carriage locking knob and probe locking knob
Put id master (40.00 mm ring master) on to the measuring table and set it
properly in center position, apply clamping attachment.
Make sure that reference and reset indicator will give green indication

Main target is to find high-point before getting the maximum and minimum
position of probes to calibrate instrument.
First, lock the probe holder,
Second, touch the probe to id master surface
(Keep the probe in canter of the id master)
Third, move measuring table in transverse direction with the help of knob,
repeat this process until the scale will give the maximum reading.

If it required to reset the display to zero, click


Now MOVE AND POSITION the probe to the left hand side of id master profile

surface and click icon


for confirmation of the left side reversal point.
Now MOVE AND POSITION THE probe to the right hand side of id master
inside surface and click icon
point.

for conformation of the right side reversal

in the preset window and confirms the value to the memory
which highlight to the Dynamic internal measurement window.
This is the ultimate ball diameter of the probe stylus and by this way it
calibrates the instrument.
4) Calibration of ID master:
1) With the help of stylus probe holder attachment
Calibration verification should do first if it not done before start
calibration.
Ball diameter size getting after completion of the calibration verification.
Now, set the ID MASETER on measuring table and clamp it using attachments
Touch the probe to the pressure point of the left side ID surface.

Now, touch the probe to the extreme pressure point of right side of ID
surface.
The reading of XA scale in the Dynamic Internal Measurement window
shows the exact size of the ID MASTER SIZE.

2) With the help of L-shaped probe attachment :

Attach L-shaped probe.


Release the locking knob F, which release the floating motion of the
measuring table surface.
Position ID master on the measuring table and clamp it using attachments
Position both L-shaped probes in the internal diameter by moving the
measuring carriage to the left and by using the height displacement of the
table.
Lock universal table in measuring position with the help of locking knob A).
Left side probe must in contact with the ring profile, move measuring carriage
until the right side probe makes contact with the ring profile and set the
measuring force by observing reference marks.
Search for the highest point by turning knob C
Enter the reference value into the display.
Remove the master ring gauge and position the ring to be checked.
Bring the probes in contact with the ring gauge profile and set the measuring
force.
Search the highest point by turning the knob C
The actual diameter value is displayed.
5) Calibration of DISC (OD) master:
Measuring table surface must be free floating (release the knurling knob F)
Bring the table in measuring position and lock it (knurled knobs A)
Set zero before positioning the plug gauge
Move the measuring carriage to the left, both anvils must be in contact.
Set the measuring force (observe the reference marks).
Set the display at Zero.
Move the measuring carriage to the right.
If the knife edged anvils (TULM 6/l0.5) are installed, use a master
plug gauge to set zero (Preset).
Position the Disc gauge to be checked and clamp it.
Do not forget to lock the table in position ( lock the knurled knob A)
Bring the table surface in measuring position and establish contact with the
left side anvil at the Plug profile.
Be careful with the floating movement of the table surface. It must be free
floating!!!
Move the measuring carriage to the left until the anvil makes contact with the
plug profile and set the measuring force (observe the reference marks)
Search for the highest point by turning the knob C
The actual diameter value is displayed.

6) Cup(Outer ring) raceway(Track) measurement :


Preset the stulus probe ball diameter by using master ring gauge.
Set outer ring properly, clamp it by using clamping attachment.

First make contact of probe to top face
Make sure that the stylus probe holder in unlocked position while touch the
probe.

Lock the probe holder.
Make contact of the stylus probe to left side of the outer ring.
Find highest point by using knurl knob C

Then, click icon

Again click icon


Move the measuring carriage to the Right-top side of the outer ring raceway
profile, make contact of the stylus probe to profile surface.

Move the measuring carriage to the Left-Bottom side of the outer ring
raceway profile, make contact of the stylus probe to profile surface.

Click on icon
Move the measuring carriage to the Right-Bottom side of the outer ring
raceway profile, make contact of the stylus probe to profile surface.

Click on icon
Now, unlock the stylus probe ensure free movement of the probe holder in
vertical direction, touch the probe to measuring table surface.

Process is end up by opening the measurement data release in one NOTEPAD
window as shown in fig.: 06.

7) Cone(Inner) raceway(Track) Measurement :


Preset the stulus probe ball diameter by using master ring gauge.
Set Inner ring properly and clamp it by using clamping attachments

First make contact of probe to top face of inner ring.
Make sure that the stylus probe holder in unlocked position while touch the
probe.

Lock the probe holder.
Make contact of the stylus probe to left side of the Inner ring.
Find highest point by using knurl knob C
Move the measuring carriage to the Left-Top side of the inner ring raceway
profile, make contact of the stylus probe to profile surface

Move the measuring carriage to the Left-Bottom side of the Inner ring
raceway profile, make contact of the stylus probe to profile surface.

Move the measuring carriage to the Right-Top side of the Inner ring raceway
profile, make contact of the stylus probe to profile surface.
