paper
optional decorative items (buttons,
feathers, beads, sequins, etc.)
scissors and glue
crayons or felt pens
stapler

Color and cut out the hat pattern.

Color and cut out

the writing form.

Decorate the hat

with patterns
provided or use
real objects

Bind all student

stories into a
cover. Punch
holes on the left
side and tie with
string or yarn.
Attach hat
decorations to
the yarn.

Glue the hat

and writing
form to the
construction
paper.
