PURPOSE
Corporate finance incorporates both the short- and long-term knowledge of
financial management to assist companies in their decision-making. This course
encircles around the development of a framework for evaluating financial
decisions made by corporate managers with an emphasis on working capital
management, analysis of capital investment projects, and debt policies via capital
structure decisions. This course emphasizes the role of the financial manager as
decision maker, and stresses for managerial input and judgement. Therefore, this
course is design to enhance the overall managerial understanding of corporate
finance to the many different types of students with varying backgrounds.

OBJECTIVES
Students are expected to;

understand fundamental valuation techniques and investment returns and
its’ association to risk.
understand why net present value leads to better investment decisions in
achieving the goal of stockholders’ wealth maximization.
