THE CARDIO VASICULAR SYSTEM
This system contains the hearts, the bloodvessel and blood. The systems is
responsible for transport of various substance in the body such as
oxygen,nutrients and hormones.
1.The heart
The heart is a masculine pumping organ located at the middle of the lung,
The top part of the heart is known as the base while the bottom part of the heart
as known as apex.
2.The blood vessel
The blood vessels are the body passage that allow flow of blood quickly from the
heart to the rest of body and vise versa
The bloodvessel contains lumen, which is hallow through which blood is able to
flow.
The bloodvessel contains ateries which are thick in size and veins which are thin
in size.
All blood vessels are lined up with endothelium that keep blood cell and prevent
clotting of blood.
The three main type of blood vessel include,
1.Atries
2.cappillaries
3.veins.
ATRIES.
This are blood vessels that carry blood away from the heart.
This blood is usually oxygynated.
The only ateries that carry deoxygenated blood is pulmonary artery.
The arteries pump under high pressure.
Aterioles are narrower than ateries and they carry blood to the cappilaries.
Thus their walis are much thinner.
2.CAPILLARIES
This are the smallest and thinnest bloodvessel
Capillaries carryblood very close to the cell tissues

The endothillum in capillaries act as a filter to keep bloodcell inside the vessel will
allowing liquid to dissolve gasses.
3.VEINS
This are the largest blood vessel
Veins are subjected to very low blood pressure.
The are less masclar than ateries.
TYPES OF CIRCULATION.
1.PULMONARY CIRCULATION;
They transport deoxygenated blood from the right side of the heart to the
lungs ,here the blood picks oxygen and returns to lift side of the heart.
2.SYSTEMIC CIRCULATION.
Carries high oxygenated blood from the left side of the heart to all the tissues of
the body.
