Knights of Columbus Update

The KofC Council 15999 participated with the

Beamsville Lions Club and many other service
groups and volunteers in gathering over 24,000 lbs
of food on Saturday, September 17th for the Community Care of West Niagara which equates to
nearly 29,000 meals for the needy of our Community. Thank You to all who donated food and helped
George L. Savage
Grand Knight

We welcome you to our church and offer these simple

WORSHIP PRACTICES to help everyone enter fully,
consciously, and actively in our liturgies. As We Gather. We should be quiet when we enter the church.
All private prayer ceases when Mass begins and we
join as one Body of Christ. Remember that Mass
has not ended until the priest and ministers have left
the altar and the recessional hymn is finished. In the
name of Christ and the community and with the
blessing of almighty God, we are sent out into the
world to be good news for all whom we meet. It is
a courtesy to God and the community not to leave
the assembly early.

September 25 - 26th Sunday in OT

Spreading Mercy
Warning to those who ignore the needs of others (Amos)
The time to respond in discipleship is now (Tim)
The parable of the rich man and Lazarus (Luke)
Todays Gospel story
is going to make it harder for you to drive by the
person on the corner
holding up a sign that
reads, Help! You may
not find it so easy to roll
up your car window and
look the other way. The
torment of that netherworld is a formidable
price to pay for keeping a small handful of coins.
The Gospel today is a call for us to be true brothers and sisters in Christ. The message makes us
reflect on our ability to be Good Samaritans.
Sometimes we may find ourselves as unfaithful witnesses to the Resurrection.
Abrahams words at the end of the Gospel provide a thunderous clap of reality with which to examine our personal faith: If they will not listen to
Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded if someone should rise from the dead.
