A.4 Lesson Proper (Questioning)
1. What is Home Wiring?
2. What are the materials, hand tools and safety gears needed in Home Wiring Installation
for Lighting? And its uses.
3. Why do we need to know the importance of safety precaution before conducting Electrical
Wirings?
4. What are the uses of Electrical Line Diagram or Schematic Diagram in Home Wiring
Installation especially in Lighting System?
5. How do we (you) install or connect properly the wirings for Lighting?
B. Analysis

Using the Electrical Line Diagram or the Schematic Diagram the learners
will analyze how the electrical wires are interconnected and other fixtures and
components may be connected too, and by means of Line Diagram or Schematic
Diagram the learners will visualize the exact representation of the physical
connections and physical layout of an electrical system or circuit, and during their
hands on application in electrical wiring for lighting system, they can use the
schematic diagram or line diagram for their analyzation in the actual wirings and
connect the wires accurately to avoid short circuit.
C. Abstraction (Summary)

The Materials needed are:

Definition of circuit breaker: - Electrical circuit breaker is a switching device which
can be operated manually as well as automatically for controlling and protection of
electrical power system respectively. As the modern power system deals with huge
currents, the spacial attention should be given during designing of circuit breaker to
safe interruption of arc produced during the operation of circuit breaker.
A distribution board (also known as panelboard, breaker panel, or electric panel) is a
component of an electricity supply system that divides an electrical power feed into
subsidiary circuits, while providing a protective fuse or circuit breaker for each circuit in
a common enclosure.
An incandescent light bulb, incandescent lamp or incandescent light globe is an
electric light with a wire filament heated to a high temperature, by passing an electric
current through it, until it glows with visible light (incandescence).
The incandescent light bulb or lamp is a source of electric light that works by
incandescence, which is the emission of light caused by heating the filament. They are
made in an extremely wide range of sizes, wattages, and voltages.
PVC stands for Polyvinyl chloride.

It can be made softer and more flexible by the addition of plasticizers, the most widelyused being phthalates. In this form, it is used in clothing and upholstery, and to make

flexible hoses and tubing, flooring, to roofing membranes, and electrical cable
insulation.
An electrical junction box is a container for electrical connections, usually intended to
conceal them from sight and deter tampering. A small metal or plastic junction box may
form part of an electrical conduit or thermoplastic-sheathed cable (TPS) wiringsystem in
a building. If designed for surface mounting, it is used mostly in ceilings, under floors or
concealed behind an access panel - particularly in domestic or commercial buildings.
A wood screw is used to join two pieces of wood together. Made of steel, the wood
screw typically has a head that is designed to be used with a regular slotted or Phillipshead screwdriver.
A single pole switch allows the user to control an outlet or electrical device from one
area. It allows electricity to flow when it placed in the on position and stops the flow of
electricity when it is placed in the off position.
Analog multimeters are electrical test instruments which are used to measure voltage,
current, resistance, frequency and signal power

D. Application

Draw the Schematic Diagram of the bulb controlled by a single pole switch in one location.
Perform proper wiring installation for lighting.

VI. Agreement (assignments)

Draw the Schematic Diagram of the following:
1. 3 bulbs controlled by 1 single pole switch
2. 3 bulbs controlled by S3 in one location
3. 3 bulbs controlled by 3S1 in 3 different location
V. Evaluation (Examination)
Draw the Line and Schematic Diagram of one bulb controlled by 2 single pole switches in two different
locations.
