1. Installation

1. USB Plug: Insert the plug to the USB port of your PC.
2. Antenna Port: Connect the Antenna in the package or your antenna.
3. Channel Lock LED: The LED lights for indicating that the DTV Channel is locked for watching.

Install UB-10
1. Connect the antenna to UB-10. Insert the USB Plug to the USB port of your PC.
2. Click Cancel on the pop-up window of Found New Hardware Wizard.
Insert the Installation CD into the CD-ROM drive of your PC. Follow the software installation procedure
to install.

Install the driver and Utility

Please insert the USB TV dongle into PC and click
Cancel in the pop up window of Found New
Hardware Wizard. (Figure 1-2)
Put the Installation CD into CD-ROM drive and the
install window will pop up. Click Install/Uninstall
Software to install. (Figure 1-3)
z According to the prompt window, select the
proper option and click Next for every step.
z Select English in the Choose Setup
Language window for English version.
z You can also select a different folder for the
installation in the installation procedure.
z When prompt to enter License Key, please

read the license key labeled on the

installation CD and input it.(Figure 1-4)
The driver will install automatically. In the
current version, the Windows Logo alarm
window could possibly pops up, click
Continue Anyway to install the driver. (Figure
1-5, the new certified driver will be released in
the nearly future.)
When the installation finish, click Finish to
restart the PC.

Uninstall the driver and Utility

Navigate to All Programs -> DTV
USB Receiver Utility, and select
Uninstall-DTV USB Receiver to
begin the un-installation. Follow the
instruction of the uninstall window
and click Next to continue.

2. The Startup Screen (Home page)

You can see three main categories in home page.
Select TV to do the initial setting first.
TV: The place you can watch TV, scan channel,
record TV and etc.
Video: To capture from DV, edit your recordings,
and burn to CD/DVD R/W.
Setup: configure the general setting, TV and
Video settings. Please refer section 9 for the
details.

3. Initial Setup
When entering the TV page at the first time, you
are prompted to set the TV signal.
1. Select your country region in the first frame,
and then click Next to continue.

2. Click Start to scan channel. You can enable
LCN (Local Channel Number) option if it is
available. When done, click Next to continue
and click Finish in the next frame to complete
the setting.
3. If you want to watch subtitles in TV, please
refer section 7.3 to enable the subtitle.

4. The TV page (Live TV)

When clicking the TV option, it will enter this page. The TV page shows the Live TV screen and
provides toolbar and options for your operation.

4.1 The Floating Toolbar
The floating toolbar appears for a few seconds whenever the mouse is moving. Navigate the cursor on
the button and click it to run the function.
Top Bar
Go to Startup screen, Previous Page
Help, Minimize, Maximize and Close the utility

4.2 Control Options
Full Screen: Click to display the video over the
entire program display area--typically the entire
screen.

Recorded TV: Write the TV recordings to a disc.

Schedule: Add a schedule to record TV.
Scan Channels: Rescan the DTV channels.
Settings: View and edit the utility setting.

EPG: Click to display Electronic Programming

Guide.
Channels: View the program channel list. Click a
channel to learn about it.

4.3 Channel Info & Signal strength

Display the Channel number, channel name and the signal strength.
4.4 TV Screen
Display the current receiving TV programs.

5. EPG
Click EPG in TV page to show the electronic
program guide. It depends on the DTV system
provider and usually you can see the program
information such as program list and the
introduction. You can double click on a program
to add a recording schedule.

6. Channels
Edit your favorite channel list. You can select it in
the floating toolbar in TV page latter.

7. Record TV
7.1. Record TV instantly
Click on the round red button to
start recording while watching TV.

Click on the square button to stop

the current recording.

While recording TV, the recording info shows on

the top of the TV screen including recording
length and the flashing REC mark. In Full
Screen mode, only shows REC mark in the
upper-right corner of the screen.

7.2. Schedule the Recording

You can edit schedules for recording TV
programs latter.
Step 1.Click Schedule in the Live TV page.
Step 2.It will enter the Schedule Page. Click
Add to add a new schedule.
Step 3.In the Add page, edit the following
attributes.
Program Name: It is the Name of this schedule.
Channel: It is the channel to record.
Frequency: Select the repeat mode of this
schedule among Once, Weekly and Daily.
Date: It is the date to record
Start Time: It is the time to start recording

Stop Time: It is the time to stop recording
Shut down the computer when finished recording: Check it to enable when needed.
Step 4.Click Save to finish the setting. It will start recording when time is up.
7.3. Time Shifting
You can go to the TV settings page to enable
Time Shifting function.
Step 1.Click TV in the startup screen. Select
Settings and then select TV Settings to
continue.
Step 2.Select On for Time Shifting. Click
Save to save the setting. Click the previous
page button to return to Live TV page.
When Time Shifting is on, you can use the
playback control including f/||, ff, ee, f|
and |e. You can also press z to record TV.

You can also choose to show subtitles in TV

programs. Click the Subtitle and then select Show.
Click Save to save the setting.
7.4. Watch your Recordings
Use the Media Player (DVD Decoder needed) on
your PC to open the shortcut My Videos. You
can see your recordings in MPEG format. Use
Media Player to play these files.

You can specify the location to store your

Recordings. In the Startup screen, select the
item Setup -> General -> Video Recording
Storage to enter the interface. Select your
directory for saving recording and click Save.
Next time when you click the z button, the
recording will be stored to this directory.

7.5. Scan Channels
If you want to rescan the DTV channels, please
go to the Live TV page and click the Scan

Channels button. Please refer Figure 3-2 for

setting page.

8. Recorded TVBurn your recording to a Disc

8.1 Recorded TV window
Click Recorded TV in Live TV page. You can
select one recording and use the playback control
buttons to play, and also click the buttons next to
the file name.
Click Burn to Disc to write it to DVD/CD R/W
: Edit the video recording.
: Rename the video recording.
: Delete the video recording.

8.2 Edit Video window
Use the edit window to cut out a section such as
the commercial from the video recording.
You can directly click on the progress bar and
then click the ! " buttons besides scissors logo
to mark the section to delete. You can also use
thef, button to move the progress and then
click ! " buttons to mark the section.
Click Save to apply the changes.

9. Video
In the Startup screen, click Video button to
enter the screen. The Video page allows you to
capture the video from a DV and Burn the
recordings to DVD/CDR/W disk.
Capture button: You must connect a DV
Camcorder to your PC via IEEE-1394 or DV-Link
before you click the Capture button. Click this
button and enter the Capture page. (Figure 9-2)
Click on one file in the list to view the file. The
preview window in the left bottom corner will
show the video.
When selecting a file, the buttons are available
to select:

: Click to edit the video.

: Click to rename the video.
: Click to delete the video.
Burn to disc: Insert an empty DVD/CDR/W
into the DVD/CD-ROM drive on your PC. Select
a Title and then click this button to write the title
to the disk.

Settings: click this button to enter the setting

page for selecting the DV Camcorder.
Capture page:
Capture Button: After clicking the Capture
button, you will enter this page. Enter the title
name; select the capture hours and then click
Capture to start capture the video from DV. The
File Format page will pop up. You can select the
file format between DV AVI or MPEG2 files with
various picture qualities for selection. (Figure
9-3)

Camcorder to change the mode. When switch to
the PLAY/EDIT mode on your DV camcorder, the
utility enters to VCR mode. You can use the
playback control such as f, and etc to view
the recording on DV. When switch to the
CAMERA mode, you can see the CAM-video on

the preview window. The capture button can be

clicked to capture video on both modes.

10. Setup

Select Display Effect: 3D, 2D

When clicking the Setup button, the following

page displays for configuration.

10.1.5 About TotalMedia

This page displays the version information.
You can also click the Update button to
check the latest version of utility.

10.2 TV
If the TV channel isnt scanned yet, it will enter
the channel setting process. If not, the following
options are allowed to setup.
Reset TV Signal: Restart the channel setting
process for DTV dongle.
TV Settings: Closed Caption, Audio, Video
Standard, Digital TV EPG, Time Shifting
Import Channel List: Select the directory to
save the channel list.

10.1 General
10.1.1 Disc Creation
Choose the setting for burning DVD. The
options include TV System, Burn To, Disc
Format and Audio Format.
TV System: Choose the TV System for the
disc between NTSC and PAL.
Burn To: If multiple DVD/CD RW drive is
connected on the PC, you can choose one for
burning DVD.

10.3 Video
Play Settings: check the box to enable the
Closed Caption display for the video recording
playback.
Capture Settings: If you connect the DV
camcorder to the PC via IEEE1394, the
capture setting is allowed to setup. You can
click the button and select the proper option
for the DV capture.

10.1.2 Frame Storage Setting

Select the directory to save the screen shot.
10.1.3 Video Recording Storage
Select the directory to save the video
recording.
10.1.4 Display Settings
Tune the video setting according to the
performance of your PC.

11. Live Update

You can manually check the update of the
software. Return to the startup screen, select
Setup->General->About Total Media, and then
click Update button to check the new version. If
your software is already the latest version, the
prompt window will pop up for your confirmation.

1. Conector USB: Insira o conector a uma porta USB livre do seu computador.
2. Conector da Antena: Conecte a Antena que acompanha o produto na caixa.
3. LED de Canal Ativo: O LED aceso indica que um canal foi encontrado e est pronto para ser
exibido.

Instale UB-10
1. Conecte a antena a UB-10. Insira o conector USB em uma porta USB livre de seu computador.
2. Clique em "Cancelar" na janela que surgir do Assistente de Novo Hardware.
3. Insira o CD de instalao no CD-ROM do seu computador. Siga os procedimentos de instalao
do programa.

Instale o driver e o Utilitrio

Conecte o dongle USB TV no Computador e clique
em Cancelar na janela do Assistente para
adicionar novo hardware. (Figura 1-2)
Coloque o CD de instalao no drive de CD-ROM e
a janela de instalao ir surgir. Clique em
Instalar/Remover Programa para instalar. (Figura
1-3)
z Conforme a janela que surgir, selecione a
opo apropriada e clique em Prximo para
cada passo.
z Selecione Portugus no item Selecione o

z Voc pode selecionar uma pasta diferente de
instalao do programa.
z Quando for solicitado para colocar a chave e
licena, veja a Chave de Licena etiquetada no
CD de instalao. (Figura 1-4)
z O driver ser instalado automaticamente. Na
verso atual, poder surgir um aviso de que o
driver no passou pela certificao Windows,
clique em Continuar assim mesmo para
instalar o driver. (Figura 1-5, o driver ser
certificado brevemente.)

reiniciar o computador.

Removendo o driver e o Utilitrio

Navegue pelo menu em Todos
os programas -> DTV USB
Receiver Utility, e selecione
Uninstall-DTV USB Receiver
para iniciar a remoo do driver
(Figura 1-6). Siga as instrues da
janela de desisntalao e
pressione Avanar para continuar.

2. A Tela Inicial (Home page)

apresentado 3 principais categorias na home
page. Selecione TV para iniciar a configurao
primeiro.
TV: local onde se assiste TV, procura canais,
grava programas e outros.
Vdeo: para capturar de DV, editar suas
gravaes e gravar para CD e DVD.
Configurar: configuraes gerais,
configuraes de TV e Vdeo.

3. Configurao Inicial
Aps instalado o SW, alguns canais j estaro
pr-programados. No entanto para assegurar que
todos os canais disponveis na sua regio sero
sintonizados, proceda da seguinte forma:
1.

Na tela TV pressione PROCURAR CANAIS.

2. Pressione Iniciar para procurar os canais.

Quando finalizar, pressione Prximo para
continuar e pressione Finalizar na prxima tela
para completar a
configurao.

Se quiser ver subttulos na TV, verifique na

seo 7.3 para ativar os subttulos.

4. Tela da TV (TV ao vivo)

Pressionando na opo TV, ser acessada esta pgina. A pgina de TV exibe o programa de TV ao
vivo e tambm barras de ferramentas de configuraes e operaes.

4.1 Barras de ferramentas
As barras de ferramentas surgem por poucos segundos quando se movimenta o mouse. Coloque o
cursor sobre os botes e clique para executar a funo desejada.

4.2 Opes de Controle
Tela Cheia: Pressione para colocar o programa
em tela cheia, tipicamente cobre a tela toda.

Programas Gravados: Grava um programa de

TV gravado em CD.

EPG: Pressione para exibir o Guia Eletrnico de

Programa.

Programao: Programa uma gravao de TV.

Procurar canais: O Rescan que o DTV
canaliza.

Canais: Exibe a lista de programas. Clique

sobre o canal para ver o canal desejado.

Configuraes: Exibe e altera configuraes.

4.3 Informao do Canal e Fora do Sinal

Exibe o nmero do canal, nome do canal e o nvel do sinal.
4.4 Tela da TV
Exibe o programa de TV corrente.

5. EPG
Clique "EPG" em pgina de TV para mostrar o
guia eletrnico de programa. Depende do
fornecedor de sistema de DTV e normalmente
voc pode ver a informao de programa tal
como lista de programa e a apresentao.

6. Canais
Edita a lista de canais favoritos. Pode ser
acessado atravs da barra de ferramentas na
tela de TV depois.

7. Gravando TV
7.1. Gravar TV imediatamente
Clique sobre o boto vermelho
redondo para iniciar a gravao da
TV que est sendo exibido.

Clique sobre o boto amarelo

quadrado para interromper a gravao
atual.

Durante a gravao da TV, a informao da

gravao exibido sobre a tela da TV incluindo o
tempo de gravao e uma marca Gravar piscante.
No modo de tela cheia, apenas a marca Gravar
surgir no canto direito superior da tela.

7.2. Programando Gravaes

As gravaes de TV podem ser programadas
para serem gravadas mais tarde.
Passo 1.Clique em Gravao na tela de TV.
Passo 2.Na tela de gravao, pressione
Adicionar para agendar uma nova gravao.
Passo 3.Na tela Adicionar, altere os seguintes
dados.
Nome do Programa: nome deste agendamento.
Canal: canal a ser gravado.
Freqncia: selecione o modo de repetio
deste agendamento se ser Uma vez,
Semanalmente ou Diariamente.

Data: data para a gravao.

Hora de incio: horrio que iniciar a gravao.
Hora de trmino: horrio em que a terminar a gravao.
Desligue o computador quando terminar a gravao: ative se necessrio.
Passo 4.Clique em Salvar para finalizar a configurao. A gravao se iniciar quando chegar o
horrio programado.
7.3. Transferncia de Tempo
V at as configuraes da pgina de TV para ativar
a funo de Transferncia de Tempo.
Passo 1.Clique em TV na tela inicial. Selecione
Configuraes e selecione Definies de TV para
prosseguir.
Passo 2.Selecione Ligue para ativar a Transferncia
de Tempo. Clique Salvar para salvar a
configurao. Clique no boto voltar para retornar
para a tela da TV.
Com o deslocamento de tempo ativado, utilize a

barra de ferramenta para controle incluindo f/||, ff,

ee, f| e |e. Pressione z para gravar a TV.
Tambm pode ser ativada a exibio de subttulos nos
programas de TV. Clique em Subttulo e selecione
mostrar. Clique Salvar para salvar a configurao.
7.4. Encontre as suas Gravaes
Use o Media Player no seu computador para
abrir o atalho Meus Vdeos. As gravaes
podem ser vistas no formato MPEG. Use um
Media Player para executar os arquivos.

O local de armazenamento das gravaes pode

ser especificado. Na tela inicial, selecione os
itens Configurar -> Geral -> Armazenamento de
gravao de vdeo para acessar a tela de
configurao. Selecione o diretrio para salvar
os arquivos de gravao e clique em Salvar.
Na prxima vez que clicar no boto z, a
gravao ser armazenada neste diretrio.

7.5. Procure Canais
Se quiser procurar por mais canais de DTV, por
favor siga a Tela de TV e clique em "Procurar

canais. Por favor veja a Figura 3-2 para

referncia.

8. TV Gravadas Grave as suas gravaes em DVD/CD

8.1 Tela de Gravaes de TV
Clique Gravao da TV na tela de exibio de
TV. Pode ser selecionado uma gravao e os
controles de playback para executar o arquivo.
Clique Gravar em Disco para gravar em
DVD/CD R/W.
: Edita o vdeo gravado.
: Renomeia o vdeo gravado.

: Apaga o vdeo gravado.

8.2 Editar Vdeo
Use a tela de edio de vdeo para cortar uma
parte do vdeo como um comercial do vdeo
gravado.
Clicando diretamente na barra de progresso e
clicando nos botes ! " ao lado do cone da
tesoura para maar a seo a ser removida. Use
os botes f, para mover a barra de
progresso e clicando nos botes ! " para
marcar a seo.
Clique em Salvar para aplicar as alteraes.

9. Vdeo
Na Tela Inicial, clique no boto "Vdeo". A pgina
de Vdeo permite que capture o vdeo de um DV
e gravar os arquivos em discos de DVD / CDR /
CD-RW.
Boto Capturar: Conecte uma Filmadora de DV
a seu PC via IEEE-1394 ou DV-ELO antes de
voc clicar no boto de Captura. Clique o boto
e entre na tela de Captura. (Figura 9-2)
Clique em um arquivo da lista de arquivos. A
janela de apresentao no canto inferior
esquerdo mostrar o vdeo.
Quando selecionar um arquivo, os seguintes
botes estaro disponveis:

: Edita o vdeo gravado.

: Renomeia o vdeo gravado.
: Apaga o vdeo gravado.
Gravar em disco: Insira um DVD / CDR/W no
drive de DVD/CD do seu computador. Selecione
um Ttulo e ento clique o boto escrever o ttulo
ao disco.

Configuraes: Clique neste boto para entrar

na tela de cenrio para selecionar a Filmadora
de DV.
Capturar:
Boto Capturar: Depois que clicar o boto de
Captura, voc ver esta tela. Coloque o nome
de ttulo; selecione o tempo de captura e ento
pressione "Capturar" para iniciar a captura do
vdeo. Surgir a tela de Formato de Arquivo.
Selecione o formato de arquivo entre DV AVI ou
MPEG2 com arquivos de vrias qualidades de
vdeo. (Figura 9-3)

Modo VCR & Modo Cmera: Altera o modo da
sua Filmadora de DV. Quando modo estiver em
JOGO/EDITAR em sua filmadora de DV, o

utilitrio entra no modo de VCR. Pode ser usado

para controlar o playback e exibir a gravao em
DV. Quando estiver no modo de CMERA, voc
pode ver o VDEO na janela de apresentao. O
boto de captura pode ser pressionado para
capturar vdeo em ambos modos.

Criar automaticamente um disco com o vdeo

capturado: Insira um disco e ento verifique a
opo gravar a capturado no disco.

10. Configurar
Na tela de Incio, clique o boto de Configurar
para entrar na pgina de Configuraes.

para selecionar a Filmadora de DV.

11. Atualizando o TotalMedia

Voc pode verificar manualmente as
atualizaes do software. Retorne para a tela
inicial, selecione Configurar->Geral->Sobre o
TotalMedia, e ento clique o boto "Atualizar"
para verificar uma nova verso. Se seu software
j estiver atualizado, surgir uma tela
confirmando que est atualizado.
