Product Innovation concerns a product or service that is significantly improved. This includes
significant improvements in content, mode of delivery, user friendliness or other functional
characteristics.

1. PROJECT TEASER
In 3-4 lines, please convey the essence of your project idea. Try to be clear on the Innovation, namely: the new or
existing discoveries that can lead to the Innovation; the demand/needs that might be met; and, the project
outcome you would like to target.

2. CONVINCING PRESENTATION OF THE PROJECT

Provide a compelling explanation of the projects objectives.
Identified Demand (Based on Audience Analysis)
Provide evidence demonstrating both the market demand and the ability of the innovation to fulfill that demand.
The evidence for the market demand might include:

Any market/user/customer problems or needs analysis. The size of the market and the ability to address
problems or fulfill needs are of particular interest.
Any barriers to success that will need to be addressed within the project.
How the problems/needs are currently fulfilled? What other alternatives are available? How will this
Innovation differentiate itself?

Innovation Potential
The innovation potential is the reason to believe the project can be successful. Convey what discoveries this idea
will leverage, namely the new or more effective ideas, knowledge, technologies, processes, services or products
that suggest the demand can be met. As well as innovations identified by partners, this may be the result of
combining existing innovations to be more effective overall or combine a new innovation that enables an existing
innovation to scale.
Please share any due diligence to confirm the proposed innovation idea has not already been tried or applied
elsewhere, or if so, what is different in this Innovation Project that increases the chance of success.

3. ANTICIPATED OUTPUTS
Please provide a short summary of the outputs that you anticipate from the project. Whilst many outputs are
deliverables, there may be other less tangible benefits that are equally as important.
