LESSON PLAN IN MAPEH GRADE IV

I. Objectives: After a 40 minutes class, a Grade 4 Pupil must have:


a. Predicted what will happen if two primary colors were mixed;
b. Participated on the activities provided; and
c. Create an art using the primary and secondary colors.
II. Subject Matter: MAPEH (Art)
Topic: Secondary Colors

Materials: Paint, paint brush, bond paper, watercolour, crayons, stick,
illustration
board, plastic cups, charts, projector.

III. Procedure
1. Preliminary Activities
a. Drill
We will present a pictures and the pupils will determine what are
the
things
they saw in the picture which have primary
colors.

b. Review
We will ask the students what they remember on past topic.
The Primary Colors

Ask them if they can recall the past lesson

2. Developmental Activities
a. Motivation
We will present a picture of a rainbow and we will teach them a
song,
titled Rainbow.

Rainbow
Its not a secret
Its not a fairytale
Its not made of
Jonah was in the whale
For three whole days
Red, yellow, blue
The rainbow in the sky
to show that Gods promises are true
The rainbow in the sky to show the world
Hes the only way for your everyday.
b. Presentation
We will present to the class the three secondary colors and we
will do that
by showing things which represents these colors.
Secondary Colors:
Green, violet, orange
c. Discussion
We will demonstrate how to produce a secondary color out of
primary
colors.

d. Generalization
1. What colors are being mixed to create the color violet?
2. What colors are being mixed to create the color green?
3. What colors are being mixed to create the color orange?
e. Application
We will group the students in five groups. We will provide the
materials for them to create secondary colors. After that they will report to
class about the result of their activity.
IV. Evaluation
A. Given an equation, they will check if it is wrong or right. If wrong put
if its right put inside the box.
1. Red + Yellow = Orange
2. Blue + Yellow= Violet
3. Red + Blue= Green
4. Yellow + Yellow= Blue
5. Blue + Red= Violet

B. With the same groupings, the pupils will draw anything that they can
inside their house and let them color it using secondary colors.

V. Assignment
In one short bond paper, create a color wheel. To be passed tomorrow.
