Dope free solution

CLEANWELL DRY is the VAM Family Dope Freesolution:
It is a fully DRY and non sticky multi function coating directly applied in Vallourec mills on the surface
of threads such as VAM TOP.
Coating replaces both storage and running compounds, which allow optimizing rig preparation by reducing the occurrence
of protector removal, thread cleaning and pipe handling.

CLEANWELL DRY brings a wide range of benefits

No discharge to the environment
Anti-corrosion properties equivalent to storage dope
Not sticky and easy thread inspection
Prevent Rig thread cleaning, minimize yard and rig handling
Prevent plugging formation pores
Box and Pin threads with CLEANWELL DRY
VAM and CLEANWELL are registered Trademarks of Vallourec Oil and Gas France.

Technical requirements

In case of multiple choice and for more details, contact your

VAM representative or go to www.vamservices.com

VAM HWST

Sub application

2: I need a 7 Liner with good clearance and high compression

capacity VAM SLIJ-II.
I might need to rotate it so I really need high torque capacity
VAM HTF offers high torque and has some capacity
in compression.

VAM TOP HT

Applications

1: I need a 9 5/8 production casing qualified to ISO CAL IV

VAM 21 for highest strength, VAM HTF for max
clearance.

VAM TOP HC

The connection selection table below helps you choosing the VAM
connection that best fits your needs. It is read horizontally and works as
follow:
1: Select you application and technical requirements
2: Look at the corresponding colored boxes to determine the
connection that best fits the application and requirements, with the
following color code:
Dedicated - The connection has been designed and qualified
for this application and technical requirements
Capable or compatible - The connection will offer some
capacity but finer evaluation is needed (ex: capacity may be limited
or overdesigned for the application; availability may be limited to
few sizes). Check with your VAM representative.
Not applicable.
3: For the recommended connections (green cells):
- Check your need for clearance: T&C for standard clearance, T&C
with Special Clearance option for intermediate clearance,
flush/semi-flush for maximum clearance.
- Check the size you need versus the available size range per connection

Vallourec proprietary grades offer solutions for grades not covered by

API 5CT (ex: 125 ksi sour service).
They also offer greater performances (ex: High Collapse grades) and
higher reliability (ex: Sour Service grades) thanks to stringent
internal requirements in quality and process control, mechanical
properties and material testing.

High collapse grades for casing to be used in high pressure wells. They offer an average of 30% and up to 40% extra performance over API collapse
rating. As mechanical properties and pipe dimensions are major factors in collapse resistance, the following parameters have been optimised to
guarantee high collapse pressures: D/t ratio, yield strength, ovality, wall thickness, residual stresses.
