My trip to the gallows Winding a clouded scene Takes me on a gloomy path With a laughing faceless man Lightening strikes

surround us Thunder fills the air I wish for rain to come To wash away my fear But the rain never comes I knew it never would The fear it just increases Keeps adding to my load "Come, hasten your step!" I cry to faceless man "For the gallows are awaiting." But he just laughs anew Suddenly he turns my way Shadows falls from his face And I see our ghastly joke I stare into my eyes My trip to the gallows Winding a clouded scene Take me on this gloomy path The laughing, faceless man
