Radiology (RD

Radiology professionals* work as part of multidisciplinary teams, planning, carrying out
and evaluating the quality of radiology exams on the different areas of Radiology,
namely Conventional Radiology, Mammography, Computerized Tomography, Magnetic
Resonance, Angiography, Osteodensitometry and Ultrasonography.
For the purpose, they need adequate academic qualifications to be able to acquire,
develop and strengthen their knowledge on natural, exact, social, human and health
sciences whose contents include human anatomy and physiology, pathology, radiation
physics and radiation protection and safety. They also need an in-depth knowledge on
the technology of radiology equipment.
In addition to their activities in diagnosis and therapeutics areas, Radiology professionals
also take part in management, education and research activities.
