The Rat and the Oriole shows the true manifestation of symbolisms within the IPs of

Bukidnon. Though the ending of the story seems tragic, it imparts a deep and
meaningful message for each and everyone to partake. It serves as an eye opener
to the rich and vast culture and beliefs our ethnic minorities and their ancestors
have.
Upon reading it initially, its message is vague and the storyline seems unrelated.
One would know that is a fiction of course, because the characters in real life
couldnt really talk or sing, and a rat, could never roast a corn by its own.
